If you like long line ups you will love the embarkation and disembarkation process for the Disney cruises. We have taken many cruises and our experience with Disney was the worst.
The advantages of the cruise are the many activities for kids: water sports, beach activities, mini-golf, shows, music etc. Also, the staff are very good with children.

We chose the fantasy because it had so much going on that interested our family. 7 days was perfect. There was a pirate night as well as Star Wars at sea day. Our 10 yr old granddaughter is in to Star Wars and the 5 year old very much a princess. We went on this cruise with my then 5 year old and 3 year old sons. Although they aren't that into Disney specifically, we figured they'd enjoy the kids activities and we'd get some much needed adult time away.
The short version is this: The Kids Club and Kids Activities were a big disappointment, particularly if you have [stereotypical] boys.

This was our second sailing on the Magic and the service level continues to be excellent. We were in 2620 which was a bit noisier on port days due to being over one of the entrances to port, although it was not intolerable, I would probably pick a different cabin on 2 next time.
