We chose DCL because we were traveling with children. It was our first Disney cruise, and we were not disappointed. As it turned out, we loved everything about the ship. From the entertainment, which was excellent, to the food, character meet and greets, the service, etc., everything was wonderful. There was enough to do on board during sea days.
The dining rotations worked out very well. ...
This is my second Disney cruise - my first one was on Disney Magic in 2007. The productions shows are second to none...they really do an amazing job on those. The service was, as before, spectacular. The staff works very hard to ensure everyone does a great job and they do a superb job at it....I applaud them.
But the trip felt very....deja vu. It was great the first time, but not as ...
My family has always wanted to go to Alaska. With our three children growing up so quickly, the oldest one year away from college, this trip was at the top of our "Family Vacation" bucket list. We have solely cruised Disney (4 times) and we couldn't do Alaska without at least one more time.
Family makeup:
Parents --- early 40's
Teen #1 --- 17.5
Teen #2 --- 16
Youngest #3 --- ...
Don't be fooled by the Disney Hype, it's not a Wonderful World of Disney aboard Disney Cruise Lines. My mother-in-law took the whole family (15 of us, 10 adults, 5 kids, 5 cabins) to Alaska aboard the Disney Wonder (June 2016). We are seasoned cruisers, and after reading repeatedly to expect a nice adult experience aboard a ship full of kids, I still had my trepidations. I was reassured, "it's ...
This was our first cruise and we'd heard that Disney was the best. First of all, the ship was beautiful. Little touches like Disney music playing in the corridors really made it special. It only took a day or two to easily find our way around the ship. We loved how the TV in the stateroom showed Disney movies 24/7. The stateroom was roomy and we loved having the two half-baths rather than one ...
On our first Disney cruise, following many other cruises on different lines, we were curious to see how it would compare. I travelled with my 23 year old daughter and her friend...3 to a room, and it was adequately spacious for the three of us. Embarkation was speedy, and after the requisite first day buffet lunch we found our room quickly and were pleased with the space. Although the ship is a ...
This is my 4th Disney Cruise and I must say it was probably my favorite so far. I've been on all the other Disney ships, and the Wonder is by far an older ship, but well kept and very clean. You definitely still experience the Disney atmosphere, it's incredible. We embarked from Vancouver, and the transportation was quick and easy, Disney does a great job with getting you to feel valued. The ship ...
We thought this would be a great cruise for our family: my wife, myself, our 10 year old son and 8 year old daughter. It was more than we expected. Our daughter has several severe food allergies (not intolerances), where she is anaphalactic to many foods. We emailed and were able to provide her food allergy list to the chef on board ahead of time. Also we were able to work with the head chef ...
Our family went on Disney's first Alaskan cruise of the season and had a great time! Our 11 year old granddaughter had a great time and met plenty of new friends at the Edge. We had veranda staterooms on the starboard side and totally enjoyed the views from the balcony sailing in both directions. As far as the food goes it was great as well in all of the restaurants. Our only complaint was with ...
Our family had been wanting to do an Alaskan cruise for a long time. We ended up picking the Disney Wonder as my 5 year old niece was travelling with us and we have faith in the Disney branding. My sister who paid for our trip asked me for my opinion, and I did give her some other options. I left the final decision to her of course and she booked us on the first Alaskan cruise of the season for ...
