The Diamond princess was our first cruise with the princess cruise line. We were very happy with all the aspects of the cruise. We arrived in Whittier after riding the train from Denali. While the line was long, it moved well and we were on the ship in a short period of time. We had the anytime dinning feature and enjoyed the opportunity to try the four different dining rooms. The menu in ...

We have traveled extensively to fixed destinations and all-inclusive resorts and there isn't a place we wouldn't go back to. Deciding to take a cruise so that we could enjoy the Alaskan glaciers and inside passage ports was a big decision. Knowing many people who enjoy cruising, we decided to go ahead with a Cruise-Tour on the Diamond Princess. The tour portion was handled like clockwork by ...

First time to Beijing and we were very impressed. Very good value with pre-cruise Princess hotel and tour package of 3 days. Two more ports in China, and then Busan and Vladivostok. Went on Princess tour in Busan to the old Silla capital and was very interesting. Vladivostok was interesting, just walked around on our own, saw the famous railway station - end of the Trans Siberian Railway, and ...

We started with a couple of days in a freezing cold but sunny Beijing to see the Great Wall and all the other Great Sights, including the excellent Silk Road Market, all brilliant!! We had a 2.5 hour car ride to the container port at Tianjin, but found the embarkation process quick and easy compared to our last experience in Miami. Our cabin was about what we expected, but the bonus was a super ...

Let me start by saying we will never book our airfare through Orbitz again. We left on Monday, May 24th from Syracuse, NY. Got into Fairbanks at 12:30 their time, 4:30am Syracuse time, to find one piece of luggage missing and no welcome packet from Princess. Alaskan air was very helpful about the missing luggage, and we were reassured that our welcome packet would be waiting for us at the hotel. ...

My husband (34) and I (33) were on this cruise May 7-10. We had a blast! Here are some of the reasons why: The Day Before Embarkation: We rented a car from Northern California and right off the bat, our trip was great due to the upgrade we received to a Kia Rondo. Not the cutest car but it was new and had good power. We drove to LA the night before the cruise and stopped in Hollywood to visit ...

Diamond Princess Diaries Well, this isn't much of a diary, as I wrote most of it while waiting to disembark from the Diamond Princess after a terrific coastal repositioning cruise from Los Angeles to Vancouver. The executive summary: this ship redeemed Princess for us after two slightly disappointing experiences on the Island and Sun Princesses. With a few rare exceptions, the service onboard ...

We sailed from Vancouver on September 16; a beautiful, sunny day. Embarkation went very smoothly, we arrived at 11:30 and were on board and in the Horizon Court for lunch by 12:00 P.M. Princess had embarkation lines according to Deck, so it was quite well organized. The ship is gorgeous, and probably the cleanest and best maintained ship we have sailed on. All areas were immaculate. Our cabin ...

This was our first cruise since 1991 (Royal Princess-Caribbean). In 15 years there have been many amenities added, all welcomed. After reflecting for four weeks after disembarking in Los Angeles, I must say that this cruise was equal in satisfaction, but not that much better. Memories fade in that time but the new features were somewhat offset by some drawbacks this cruise. This was a ...

A great time. We flew to Vancouver and due to limited vacation time we flew in on the day of sailing, so we did not have time to do anything in Vancouver. We have been there before so we decided to take a day at the end of the cruise and spend in L.A.. If you have time I would highly recommend going in a day early if you live in the Mid West or Eastern part of the US. We had to fly out in early ...
