Had a cruise credit to use up. Was given a promotion to include drinks up to 12 USD for bars and room service. Room service last night refused to service an order for a Diet Coke. Asked the steward. It wasn't a bad cruise and there were highlights - we enjoyed our cabin and the housekeeper was generally good - but otherwise we left thinking that we wouldn't rush back to Cunard. Covid is alive and well on Cunard cruises. We came prepared with our Covid documents, which were not checked during embarkation. No Covid protocols were followed on board. The two of us would not normally chose to book on a Carnival ship line because of their nickel and dime business model. But their transatlantic service is a Cunard specialty and, if you have the time, cruising is at least as plush as a business class flight and at about the same price.
