Wonderful solo experience with Cunard and Queen Victoria

I booked with Queen Victoria mainly because I liked the itinerary. The Queen Victoria is an amazing boat - spotlessly clean and shiny, elegant and comfortable! It was just beautiful! The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service, mainly in the Britannia Dinning Room and my cabin steward. Some staff were a bit aloof but generally ok. They were going to varnish the balcony rails on ...

Late summer holiday with family at a time and price suitable for all of us. We have sailed with Cunard 8 times and this was the best so far...excellent ports of call, food, entertainment, stateroom cleanliness and service. On board the highlights were the excellent musical entertainment with harpist, strong quartet, pianists and the Queens Room orchestra. We love to dance and were ...

First time Cunard and looking to make it a regular occurance

We were only on it for the last 7 days. Rome, Corsica, Livorno, Monte Carlo, Barcelona. We chose the Queen's Grill, category 6 (I say the worst house in the best neighborhood). Our cabin was at the back of the ship. A place that I love. We can watch the sea turn aqua and foamy as we leave. The deck was tremendous. It was bigger than my wife's first cabin when she sailed so many years ago. The ...

Lacked the end to end Queen’s experience.

By way of context this holiday was to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and we chose this particular cruise (V614B for 7 nights in western med) because all the stops would be new to us and because we wanted to try a Cunard. We booked a Q3 Penthouse Queens grill suite as soon as bookings opened. Pre-cruise customer service was poor. The email query facility was withdrawn with no ...

We chose this ship as we love sailing the QM2 and wanted to experience this ship. The Queen Victoria was a huge let down. The staff members were moody and unfriendly. They have cut corners to the point it made things uncomfortable. The breakfast buffet had one counter and only the normal things...no Eggs Benedict or extras. We did go to the dinning room for breakfast one morning and the line was ...

Very disappointing service and standards on Cunard, Queen Victoria

We booked our cruise early summer 2016. We friend and I had both cruised before with various cruise liners but this was our first voyage with Cunard for which we had great expectations and excitement. Our shared experience of welcoming staff, varied and exciting entertainment, fine dining and quality liner service and standards meant that we anticipated Cunard to meet our previous experiences ...

2016 not 1916; outdated elegance for those who want to pay for it.

A 40th wedding anniversary celebration. Transfer to port from airport too long and no water available on the coach. Arrived at port and sent to the ships pub for lunch! After lunch our cabin already had suitcases outside the stateroom. Great. Cabin was adequate we had booked late due to husbands recent operation, so there were no balcony cabins available. Britannia restaurant was ...

We arrived in Rome from Malta and since we booked their transport by coach were met with hostesses at airport. Very friendly and made it so smooth for us as took our luggage and they were transferred straight to the ship. As soon as we boarded the coach we were given a cold bottle of water and our guide/hostess was very nice and well informed. We boarded the ship with no hassles at all and went ...

Joined Queen Victoria for seven night's of this cruise. Sailed through the embarkation, we were lucky as only our coach to arrive at that time.Cabin comfortable and clean and kept nice by our steward. We had Breakfast and Lunch in the buffet restaurant, which had an excellent choice of food, regularly replenished and always hot. Dinner was in the Britannia Restaurant with good menu choices and we ...

We booked it because we wanted to try a Cunard and also liked the itinerary. The Queen Victoria is an amazing boat - spotlessly clean and shiny, elegant and comfortable! It was just beautiful! We loved every minute of our cruise. The staff was also very attentive and provided excellent service no matter the department. We booked last minute so we were in an outside cabin (we regularly book at ...
