After more than 40 cruises on 7 different lines we wanted to try the upscale service on Cunard since folks we met highly regarded it. This was an economical way to try it especially since we love sea days and many ports are a bore for us. Everything lived up to or exceeded our expectations. Our penthouse room was the largest we ever have had. My wife had a walk-in closet with a drawer unit; my ...
Cabin was nice, food was excellent and staff also where excellent. Nightmare was the kennels where I had my 2 small dogs $1000 per dog for a week of hell. We had attacks everyday on different dogs mainly the small dogs by an American dingo and nothing was done. No vet on board, no first aid training given to kennels masters and 20 dogs an d3 cats in a very small enclosed space. It was very ...
we didn't have to fly and we had been on the ship before. This was the fourth time we had been on the QM2 and it is certainly not what it used to be.
The service in Britannia was excellent as always but the service in the kings court was lackadaisical.
On previous cruises we never felt that the drinks were over-priced but that is certainly not the case now.
I feel as though Cunard is ...
We can count ourselves as "seasoned" travellers and have been on many cruise ships. We love to dance and wanted to try the reportedly "biggest" ballroom at sea. We chose the Princess Grill cabin and had hoped for fine dining in the Grill Dining Room.
This being our first sailing on a Cunard ship we did not know want to expect. But we had sailed on the new Britannia from Barbados and thoroughly ...
This was my third time on QM2- I was on the cruise last year to the Carrib. I feel that things are slipping on this ship. The food was just awful at my 8:30 sitting in Brittania. I would call the portions childrens . Dull, no sauce to spark up the flavors. The deserts were just awful. When have you ever been on a cruise in the Carrib that did not offer Baked Alaska??? Cherries Juble had a stale ...
I recently took my wife on our first QM2 cruise. I list 10 positives and three negatives, but the overall ratio of good to bad was far higher than that. We definitely plan to go again and made a future cruise deposit.
Ten Best Things About My QM2 Voyage
• The crew, who were almost unfailingly polite, cheerful, efficient and available when needed.
• The public areas of the ship, which, ...
Our cruise...sorry....Voyage on the beautiful Queen Mary 2 in November across the Atlantic was a very relaxed and tranquil affair. The vast majority of passengers were British over 70’s and as a 43 year old I felt quite a youngster for the first time in a while. The boarding in New York was not the most pleasant we have experienced, with long queues. However once we arrived on board, the QM2 was ...
This cruise was part of a Cruise 1st package lasting 35 days travelling on 3 cruise ships 2 hotel stays and 27 hour train journey. The cruise ships and hotels plus train journey were all chosen by Cruise 1st as were the dates.
The Embarkation was perfect. No sooner had we arrived at the ship we were escorted to check in and five minutes later on the ship and directed to the buffet restaurant ...
I had read so many reviews for Cunard and decided that seeing I had to go to the States for family reasons I would try a ship instead of all the hassle of airports. The crew were first class, food great, entertainment superb. Force 12 gale and not much movement. The only downside was disembarkation in New York, they only had 4 immigration desks open for over 2000 passengers , this caused massive ...
We chose this cruise because we had massive items to transport from US to Germany, and because I have a back problem. We booked a package that included 2 days at 5 star hotel on Times Square in NYC -- wonderful.
Embarcation a little slow, but ok. The gym and daily YOGA classes were great for my back; steward excellent. I was content to contemplate the Atlantic, even though with two wind ...
