Review for a Middle East Cruise on Costa Favolosa

Firstly, i'll summarise myself. I like to know what i'm getting on a holiday, and enjoy nice dry heat destinations. Prior to 2011, i'd never taken a cruise, and my winter resort holiday to Marsa Alam, Egypt in December 2011 was negated because the airlines were only flying there from Gatwick. So i took my 1st cruise with P&O to the Caribbean. I enjoyed the opportunity to see different places on ...

Costa Favolosa from Dubai

I traveled on the Costa Favolosa from Dubai in April. I had planned to book through a travel agency but I booked shortly after the sink sank off of Italy and the two agencies I would have used was no longer booking Costa. I found that the Costa agent didn't have a good idea of the embarkation process in Dubai which was frustrating. My flight didnt arrived in Dubai at 9 pm and she told me I ...

Great cruise on Favolosa

We arrived in Dubai around 23.00 hrs and was aboard the ship within the hour. The buffet was open all night I believe, as people were arriving constantly throughout the night. The cabin was bright and airy with sufficient storage space and hangers. There was a fair size shower with plenty of counter top space. The main draw-back with the rooms, as others have said, is the cord handles for ...

Don't try Costa if you're British

This has been our first cruise on a Costa ship and we chose it to try out it's Italian hospitality and I am sad to say it will probably be our last and it would not be a company I would recommend to anyone. I'm writing this letter to give you constructive feedback because without this you are not able to improve your image. The image with the Italian, German and French markets may be good but I ...

A Very Nice Cruise Trip

We are satisfied with Favolosa as a whole. It's decoration is outdated in my opinion. The atrium is too small and no grand feeling. The swim pools are small, too. But there are a lot of facilities for children. I guess children will like them. The rooms are very comfortable. Cabins are make up twice a day. The door loops of the wardrobes make it very difficult to open. I suggest placing ...

Costa - first time and probably the last!

This review is primarily for British and Irish people who may be contemplating a cruise with Costa Cruises, although it may equally apply to English speaking natives of the USA, Canada and Australasia. I have tried to be as objective as possible, describing things as my wife and I found them although, inevitably, some subjectivity may be apparent. My wife and I have just returned from a week on ...

We did not book until late and the only suite available was a Samsara Grand suite on the costa favolosa sailing from Dubai over the New year. Although expensive, we wanted a nice cabin and as we have had suites on the Celebrity ships(Century,Summit and Eclipse) we naively thought the service would be similar. 1, Check In After flying overnight from the UK, we arrived in Dubai at about 8.30am ...
