We cruised with Costa for the first time in 2018, on the Diadema. It was excellent, so we booked again on the Fortuna.
All in all, it was a good cruise, but I felt not as good an experience as the Diadema.
The ship is smaller for a start, and I missed the numerous bars and extra expanse of the Diadema.

We choose this cruise for its itinerary and a very competiive price. We have 21 cruises behind us and this was our third with Costa so we knew what could be expected and not. Embarkation in Dubai after 6 pm was very swift, no doubt helped by the fact that many passengers had already boarded the day before in Abu Dhabi.

Chosen this cruise line because of the itinerary offered and being an Italian passport holder I did believe to be proud of the italian hospitality offered and convinced friends to join on the Costa Mediterranea. - Lack of food choices and repetitive. They serve pasta and spaghetti with light sauce, lack of flavouring

Crusing Costa is a unique experience. Passengers speak many languages but the staff speak good English and are helpful in every way. I took notes so I would be more objective. Some of the online criticism I read wasn’t a problem for us. For example, the Jacuzzi’s size, food, and service were good.
