Constellation review - Venice to Malta

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

Two ports drew us to this cruise. Montenegro and Dubrovnik. Both were wonderful. The ship is old and tired. The staff were friendly and with the exception of Leonardo on excursions were friendly and helpful at all times. Do not look for fine dining unless you are prepared to pay more than your cruise price. It is good some night but on others disappointing. The real irritations are : - ...

Pleasant cruise somewhat spoilt by late arrival

Previously cruised in 2010, "Ancient Civilisations of The Mediterranean and thoroughly enjoyed the experience so decided to go with celebrity again to see other parts of the Med. Sadly, the atmosphere on board did not quite match up to the Equinox. The food was excellent and of course the service but there were fewer areas to sit quietly and few comfortable seats in secluded spots. The ...

Wonderful cruise, excellent friendly staff, fantastic entertainment , great cruise director in Richard Spacey.. Good food. The staff all remembered your name wherever you went on the ship, always smiling and very very friendly. Entertainment was the best ever, acapella group called We3 were amazing. Jane curry female vocalist and comedian got standing ovation on both evenings. Ju.ian ...

First Time on Celebrity

We chose this for the itinerary viz Venice, Ravenna, Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar. We usually go P and O so were a bit worried about the ship being American. The fact that the clientele was so varied actually was a benefit- we really enjoyed talking to Americans and Canadians. The ship was pretty much the same as P and O though so that was easy. P and O however are better for various things- the ...

A good cruise with some downside

On the plus side, this was a great itinerary, with the three Croatian cities & Kotor particular highlights, & Ravenna a surprise gem, with its beautiful mosaics & a very attractive central square. Constellation is a grand ship & the crew were unfailingly polite & attentive. Our waiter in the main restaurant was outstanding & our stateroom (cabin?) was comfortable & well looked after by our ...

New ports of call for us

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We really wanted to see some new ports of call. Croatia, Montenegro and Malta seemed to fit. The ports lived up to the expectations. Weather was beautiful as were the sights and the people. Some cities in Croatia are not right by the ports, but shuttle buses or ferries ran regularly and were never full so this was not a problem. Embarkation and disembarkation went quickly and smoothly. The ...

Like the ship and intinerary, but some other areas could be better

The main reason for choosing this cruise was the itinerary, having a number of ports that we have not cruised to before. A secondary consideration was Celebrity who we have cruised with before and thoroughly enjoyed the experience although previously always on a Solstice class and not on the Constellation, one of their Millennium class. We were somewhat disappointed to find out several weeks ...

We choose the cruise because of the itinerary and the fact we love Celebrity ships ..Embarkation was smooth quick impressive and within 15 mins of arriving at the dock we were sat at Sunset having a drink !!! Our cabin in A1 Aqua class was as usual spotless and the cabin steward Sidney a real treasure .. We dined in the speciality restaurants and loved Ocean Liners where the food and service ...

Constellation Exceeded Expectations Again

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

This was our second cruise on the Constellation and our expectations were again exceeded in almost every way. We enjoyed all aspects of the ship from the dining options, spa amenities, and entertainment. We picked this cruise for the ports, but ended up looking forward to the sea days and evenings just as much. The staff was incredibly attentive and remembered names and preferences after the ...

The night stopovers in Malta and Dubrovnik added to the cruise.

We chose this cruise for the ports of call and a chance to try out Celebrity. The ports of call were great, apart from Ravenna, it's miles from anywhere, but it's an opportunity for Celebrity to make quite a bit of money on coaching passengers into town. We normally sail with Royal Caribbean and we thought that this would be a step up as Celebrity boast 5 star luxury. It was the opposite. Royal, ...
