Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

First time cruising and we chose Alaska for it's scenic. It's was our 29th anniversary and decided on Celebrity Solstice after reading the reviews. We got a really good price and the weather was wonderful. Would go again. Ports were very nice. If going again would just choose the land tour next time. Ship was nice. Just needed a little more entertainment and maybe a couple of quick snack places. ...

We lucked out with good weather but the cruise did not meet our expectations. Just about everything was just pretty average other than cleanliness which was great. The ship was very clean and well maintained. . This was our first time cruising on Celebrity. The food was very bland. The service was pretty good. The buffet offered variety but nothing exceptional in terms of flavor. The food ...

I was very impressed with a lot of thing about Celebrity Solstice and very disappointed with other things. The shows were great, especially the Alaska shows. I was a little disappointed in the age of the ship but it wasn't dirty just a little aged. The Ocean View Cafe was great if you were of Asian or Indian background or if you love their food. The American fare was poor. The food looked ...

Worst Cruise of My Life

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

Before you jump to conclusions I have been on 10 cruises and this literally was the worst. The only things we enjoyed were the shore excursions. The ship is in great need of being redone. There was dust and apparently other things on the ship making people cough and sneeze all the time. We both left the ship not feeling well and I ended up at the doctor and more time off work due to my illness. ...

Chose this cruise based on past experiences with Celebrity. Pros: 1) Ship well kept. 2) Staff overall was very good. 3) Sky Suite in the aft was a great location with a beautiful balcony. Cons: 1) Sky Suite bathroom had issues the whole time. Toilet had issues flushing every day. 2) Staff member in the Tuscan Grille lied about gratuity and the food was not nearly as ...

Not a Good Choice

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Millennium

The only reason to upgrade to the Aqua Class is for the shorter line at check in. The "suites" are not multi-room, and the view is obstructed by the overhang of the deck above. It is, seriously, an obstructed view. And, since you are on deck 9, you get noises from the pool deck above all night long. Must be why all of the real suites were moved to deck 6. The bathrooms are nowhere near Disney ...

First and Last time with Celebrity

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We sailed 10 days to Alaska. We are experienced cruisers and chose Celebrity because it sailed roundtrip out of Vancouver on a date we wanted. We fell for their marketing hype. It was expensive and not worth the cost. We sailed in a Concierge class cabin midship. We bought the classic drink package as a perk. There were some good points which I'll cover first. We did not pay much extra for the ...

Excellent ship with attentive service

This was our second cruise on the Eclipse having sailed from Dublin to Norway in May 2018 and were not disappointed. Our cabin was adequate size with a large balcony. Our room was quiet and had easy accessible to activities, pool deck, and restaurants. We love Blu . The food is excellent and seating allowed us to interact with a large number of people. I work out regularly and the area was ...

10 night Alaska

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Selected it because it was a ten night with more ports! Sitka, ketchikan, juneau, skagway, icy strait point, victoria and Dawes glacier. Eclipse is a beautiful ship, the entertainment was excellent and of course luminae was great. Michaels club on this ship has a small bar and lacked the interaction with the bartenders and other cruisers as compared to solstice and reflection. This particular ...
