Our cabin Aqua Class, 9040 was a little bit tired but was very clean. Our attendant, Winston is very professional, friendly and accommodating. The daily tapas and iced tea were a nice touch. The bed was hard and uncomfortable but Winston came to the rescue with a mattress pad. It was mostly quiet but we could hear people walking above us and moving furniture at various times as we were below the enclosed pool area. Read entire member review >>
Spa cabins include the exclusive use of the Blu restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Our cabin steward came in several times a day to straighten bed and clean bathroom etc. One day we came in and he was still cleaning and had even moved the love seat to vacuum under it. Every day our spa cabin steward brought us an appetizer tray (not great but some people liked it consisting of a bit of hummus and olives. This was delivered at 4 pm plus a carafe of ice tea or apple juice or lemonade, just let the cabin steward know what it is you would like.
This cabin was directly below the movie theater. These movies included new first-rate movies. However, the seating area had no cover and to watch movies outside in the strong sun and heat was uncomfortable for most people, plus there was no water or drinks or even popcorn in the area to assist you in keeping hydrated and the small 2 person elevator to get people up to the twelve floor was not operating during the week we were cruising. There were several rows of seats with the last row consisting of cabana type love seats, note even with the back and tops (dark material) on those it was just way too hot to stay up there for an afternoon to watch a 2 hr movie. I'm sure the area was fine at night. We rarely heard any noise from that area.
The area directly below us was the buffet area and we never had noise or smells from that area, although we were not in the cabin during most of the day so can not speak as to what it was like then as to noise.
We were the last cabin and there was no cabin door directly across from us. If we turned to the left the exit door was there. The steps there led directly up to the movie area or directly down to the stern bar, nice and yet very little traffic!! Read entire member review >>
195 sq ft- small balcony - chairs not loungers - cleaned twice a day with turndown service. Flat screen tv with decent amount of channels. Mattesss and bedding could be better. Needs a few more outlets in room - none near bed. Shower pressure and temp very good. Read entire member review >>
The only issue we had with our cabin was a blocked shower and sink at the beginning of the cruise. The shower ran over in the bathroom area. We called and it was immediately cleaned up and both were unblocked and that was the end of our problem. The cabin and bathroom were always clean and it was nice to see the chocolates on our pillows at night. We enjoy sitting on the balcony when in port. Luckily most ports we were on the land side so we could see everything going on. Read entire member review >>
Great cabin and excellent location on Deck 11. Plenty of space outside cabin area, would go for this cabin again or the one next door 1111. No noise or disturbance in this cabin. Read entire member review >>
Typical cabin with good storage. The cabin did show more wear and tear along with a lot of rust on the balcony. The bed was average, nothing to write home about but ok. The bathroom was in need for some light repair but served its purpose. The room is located under the pool area but no issue regarding noise. Read entire member review >>
Do not book this cabin!!! Due to the Celebrity Suite next door our balcony was cut off and tiny.
Cleaning staff was vacuuming the foyer at 11 and 12 PM until we asked them not to.
Not so nice were the loud conversations of folks gathered at the top of stairs every night saying good night.
This cabin is close to the elevator on the other side of the ship that was very nice.
Also near the library good place to sit on rainy sea days.
Cabin is nicely laid out plenty of room and storage. Read entire member review >>
Excellent cabin - midship. Surprisingly quiet with only occasional noise during the day when the towel trolley passed overhead. Large overhang was great considering it rained every day on our transit to/from Bermuda. Read entire member review >>
Everything functioned well in the cabin on this older ship. Clean, comfortable, nice spa jets in the shower. Toilets had no trouble, air conditioning worked the best of any of the 39 ships we've been on. Balcony had large overhang which protects you from the sun, but you couldn't see up to see the sky. Good location - easy to get around on the ship. Read entire member review >>
We book "Aquaclass" cabins more for the excellent "Blu" restaurant than anything else. For my tastes I prefer cabins a bit lower on the ship, as there's less motion and pool noise, but for these short inter island hops a higher cabin is fine. The stateroom was very comfortable and convenient to the spa, the showers are a blast, and the room stewards were excellent! Read entire member review >>
Good location, very quiet. Nice sized room with a decent sized balcony. The bed was very comfortable and located next to the bathroom.
The cabin was very clean with amenities replenished regularly. Our stateroom attendant (Muhajir) remembered to keep our champagne iced until we finally consumed all of it. This has not happened in the past and a pet peeve of mine (who wants warm champagne?) Read entire member review >>
We had a problem with our cabin, the tile in the shower floor was missing a few tiles, so when you took a shower water would actually get under the tile floor, this caused a odor of what may have been mold. we reported this to the main desk, they kept calling and claiming that someone was going to fix it, but on the 5th day they called and offered us a future cruise credit [250.00]
I wasn't looking for a credit I wanted the problem repaired, a more careful inspection showed the wooden outer walls around the shower were swelling from being wet [have pics] AVOID this room.
Other than that problem the room was OK, came with nice robes and was of typical size for a balcony room. Read entire member review >>
Aquaclass cabin was cleaned 2 times a day...Bathroom was small but decent...We stayed on the 9th deck,,the balcony is covered with large overhang...not a big deal...room was a good size...I would book this category again Read entire member review >>
The cabin was very nice. Though we were under the pool deck we never heard any noise from above. The Aqua Class shower was great, and the mattress was quite comfortable. Our balcony was nice with decent furniture. The only sign of excessive wear was on the couch, where the arm was beat pretty bad. But it was clean and comfortable. Read entire member review >>
Fantastic, colors should be updated, but otherwise comfortable and fairly roomy. Showers always leak into bathroom area when used, but helps if you pull doors inward. Loved the veranda with comfortable chairs and table Read entire member review >>
Our stateroom was typical for most non-suite occupancy. The cabin was showing it age. The couch, carpet and bed has seen better days. Although the room was tired, the room was kept very clean and well maintained by out cabin steward, Read entire member review >>
We really liked our cabin - it was stocked with many amenities and had plenty of storage space. We had a fabulous steward who kept the room in tip top shape. We really enjoyed having a balcony. Read entire member review >>
Aqua class on the Summit gives you Blue Dining and free use of the spa (not such a big deal - see my main review) but the cabins themselves are extremely well-layed out with nice verandas. And a good location (Deck 9) directly below the spa and one deck from the buffet and pool. Read entire member review >>
We booked Aqua class veranda room 9076, starboard side, which was more spacious than I expected. Mirrors through out the ship but especially in state rooms were well placed making everything seem more spacious. Everything was in good repair though there was a bad smell in the bathroom that I found unpleasant (husband did not seem to mind it). There was ample storage space for all of our belongings (4 suitcases plus small bags). From our room we were able to see the islands every morning when we woke with the sunrise which we could not have enjoyed from the port side of the ship. Our room steward maintained our room to our satisfaction. I liked the toiletries provided and chose to use them over the supplies that I brought. The robes and slippers were a nice touch that I used daily after returning from our ports as I went up to the Persian Gardens and then the pool showers on deck 10. I enjoyed having the extra large shower, extra towels, sauna and hairdryer. There was never anyone else there at the time I would go shower- around 5pm when everyone else was waiting around for sail away. Read entire member review >>
Don't get a room on the 9th floor. There is noise from the pool bands that goes late into the evening. Also, the balcony has a poor view. The deck from floor 10 extend over the balcony and that inhibits your ability to take pictures coming into ports. There are supports for floor 10 that also block viewing and picture taking.
