all was ok, the only to comment is located at the back of the ship in the right side and has an extra-platform in front of the terrace that hide partially the view of the sea Read entire member review >>
The cabin itself was great. There is enough storage - do use the storage over the bed! The bath/shower was quite nice and generous enough to move around while showering. I liked the room layout - two of us in the room did not trip over one another. However, unless you can sleep through anything or are of an age where you remove your hearing aids to go to bed, this cabin happens to be above the kitchen for the Sushi restaurant, which becomes painfully obvious at 2 AM. I would recommend the obstructed view balcony cabins, further either direction, as you get all the advantages at a much lesser cost. Read entire member review >>
The "obstructed view" is caused by the rigging for the lifeboats. This only comes up about waist high (about as high as the railing on the balcony). The view out to sea is great. Balconies further back on the ship (aft) are further in from the water, so while they may not count as obstructed view, our view was actually better. The cabin was right by an elevator and a quick flight of stairs from the theater. The cabin had a lot of storage and the bathroom was quite large. If I were to sail on the Silhouette again, I would specifically request this cabin --- its classification as obstructed means it's a great deal, but the view is still fantastic. The cabin itself was great. Very nice, clean, more than enough room. We love bathrooms without shower doors versus curtains, which this ship has. Our only concern was that it was a balcony guarantee with obstruction, and despite some requests before the cruise left we were not given a different cabin upgrade although we were told that it was very possible that that could happen. I had some idea what we could expect in terms of the obstruction, but when we cautiously opened the cabin door i was happy to see that our balcony was right in the middle of the two lifeboats, so our obstruction was probably one of the "better" ones. In future, unless the deal was that good, i would prefer to get a non-obstructed balcony. Read entire member review >>
oceanview on deck 6 - lifeboat obstruction. I got used to the lifeboat, but I would book early and get a hump cabin, or pay more $$$ to be higher up. Room was kept clean. Steward was good. Love that they shower doesn't have a curtain. Beds are comfy I think. No complaints except lifeboat, but of course I knew what I was getting. Read entire member review >>
Loved our cabins - large, light and airy. Very comfortable. Bathrooms are excellent.'obstructed view' verandah was not really obstructed at all so are excellent value for money. Would rate the cabins ten out of ten! Read entire member review >>
Closet on every level is terrible, there is no space to put your clothes and also, you have to be 6 feet tall or more to get to your clothes or you have to get on the bed, not 20 years old anymore. This is a major problem.
I have been on 4 different floors in the last 6 cruises on Silhouette and never had any problemse Read entire member review >>
view about 25% obstructed by lifeboat. We noticed that about three cabins forward, the lifeboats were shorter and would obstruct the view less. While you cannot see straight down into the water, we got most of the benefit of a balcony for very little more than the price of an inside. No noise from public areas below, though as it was shops. Some people on this floor complained of noise from clubs, etc.
Needs more drawers.
Night light a little bright, so adjust the door accordingly.
