Typical for this class ship, the rooms lack adequate storage. There are three small draws. The only other storage is the bins above the bed for items you don't hang in the closet. They should have looked at the old Galaxy they once had. That ship had the best storage we have ever had. The showers lack a hand held spray. The rest of the room is average but adequate. Bed was comfortable, color scheme pleasing. Read entire member review >>
Spacious bathroom, lots of hot water and good pressure...large T.V. great bed, you don't really need a balcony on the North Atlantic crossing but it was great...the WiFi was in the room and you can now pay a flat fee for the entire cruise...that solves a lot of problems.
Loved my Stateroom. I was 8th deck forward but seldom was aware of movement. Read entire member review >>
Great location on the "hump" so our balcony was larger by a bit. The eight deck balconies are completely unobstructed by lifeboats. The Verandah cabins on the Silhouette are a decent size and the bathroom was larger than the one in our junior suite on the Grandeur of the Seas. Read entire member review >>
Cabin 8110 is on deck 8, underneath the "wing" area of the navigational deck of the ship. There is no obstruction, unless you want to look straight up to the upper decks from the balcony. Our room was generally very quiet, except when the ship begins to dock. That is when you will hear & feel the front propellers in action. Call it an early morning "wake up" if you will. Needless to say, cabin 8110 is on the opposite end to where the dining room & buffet are located. It is a fair walk, but hey you're on vacation & eating, eating, eating...good to burn off a few calories.
The room itself is standard & more than adequate for 2. The bed is high enough off the floor where you can slide under 2 full size suitcases. This is a good thing, as the closet itself, although suffice if you're not a heavy packer, will be very cluttered, if not impossible to put your suit cases in. Just above the bed are 2 rectangular cupboards for storage. There are 3 large drawers, versus the 4 - 5 little ones that we're accustomed too. Not a big deal for guys, as I just shoved everything in one drawer & left the other two for my wife. There is a full size sofa facing a flat screen TV. The balcony is more than adequate for 2, with 2 chairs & round table.
The bathroom was of fair size with a large non-claustrophobic shower. Read entire member review >>
Great location near the elevator and fits a family of four with the drop down beds. My mother was in the other cabin and really enjoyed the space. The balcony connected so it was quite large. Read entire member review >>
The overhead storage was Handy, the cabin was much bigger than I expected, though we could only get one suitcase and bag property under the bed, I think the support location didn't help. Read entire member review >>
Really nice room - to be honest a bit bigger than I thought it would be given the reviews and everyone saying how small the rooms are. The beds were comfy, had a nice little tv to watch while you were getting ready. The veranda was key - would definitely never cruise without this, was nice to sit out there and read or eat breakfast. The room has shampoo and a hairdryer, but next time I would bring my own, both were just ok. Read entire member review >>
Not really sure about the category of room. It is toward the back of the ship and although it has a balcony there is a portion of deck between the balcony and the water. It was not a public deck and we only saw one crew member walk on it in 16 days. It was very quiet and the room was really spacious. The bathroom was very nice and they did provide shampoo, conditioner and lotion every day. The only complaint is that on this ship there is no Aft elevator, which wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone with mobility issues. We had to walk to the center elevators and then walk back to anything in the back of the ship. They had elevators mid-ship and forward. Read entire member review >>
7277 was great. It's a bit of a walk to it from the elevators, but it was totally quiet. We didnt hear anyone near us at all. Can be a little noisy on the balcony but that is true no matter where your cabin is located. I would definitely book this cabin again! Read entire member review >>
cabin 9232...balcony room...vista view unobstructed, looking down at lifeboats. Stewards used area outside of our room as their staging area. It was not problem for us because we were up and off the ship early, but I would not pick this room again because it was tiring to walk out right into the steward and/or his cart everyday. Aft Facing Balcony
Very little storage space
Liked the individual amenities (shampoo, conditioner, cotton swabs, etc.) instead of shower dispensers. Read entire member review >>
