On deck 11 and toward aft. Quiet location. But, there is an overhang above deck 12 cabins so if you're a sun god(ess), you won't get a lot of sun. Does not interfere with any views. Bed faces aft and near balcony door. Read entire member review >>
We did have some overhead noise from the pool area – not as bad as I thought it would be. (chairs moving during the day and the click of high heels at night) Generally a quiet location. The cabin was a nice size with a couch and an oddly rounded bottom bed. This was a bit of a challenge for both my husband and myself as we are both tall people. The closet was large and easily accessed with double bars if you wished to use them. Very limited drawer space (only 3 drawers total) and there were also some shelves with hatch type doors over bed. Shower was delightful with multiple sprays – sadly little tiny shelf for shampoo etc but very nice shower amenities in the aqua class. Note: there were other amenities with this cabin, like the Relaxation Room for a quiet spot. I did not go there very much – there were plenty of quiet nooks to enjoy this ship! Our aqua class cabin was fine, very clean, but with little storage. For elderly people it is not convenient to stay on the bed for stow away the clothes in the cabinets. In room 1511 on deck 11, the brass-sound from the club sky on deck 14 was disturbing. After midnight till late you hear the noise. Read entire member review >>
Great cabin and steward. The design just isn't the best. The closet is hard to get into, the over the bed storage is awkward and there could be more drawer storage but the bed and pillows are great. Read entire member review >>
Directly under the Persian Garden in the front of the ship. Somewhat of a walk getting to meals, but then easy access to the nightly shows, the Spa and Sky Lounge. We did hear the music from the Sky Lounge occasionally, but never later than midnight, faint and not disturbing or sleep. Definitely a good choice for us. Read entire member review >>
Nice size cabin with adequate storage space, although a couple more drawers would be good. The bathroom was also a nice good size with plenty of storage space. We were on Deck 11 not far from the elevators - a very nice location. Read entire member review >>
Most memorable ... the bathrooms in the aqua-class cabins; roomy, no "sticking to my body" shower curtains, spray jets and shower pressure I've never experienced on a ship before. Cabin service excellent. Read entire member review >>
Cabin was smaller than other cruise lines. Bathroom was largest we've experienced, but I'd rather have the cabin space. Also thought the balcony was small for the class of cabin Read entire member review >>
Cabin 1642: great location; quiet; fantastic steward. Sitting area was next to the sliding door (some cabins have the bed right next to the balcony door). Very little drawer space, like everyone says, but we had plenty of room for our stuff for 7 days. Great bathroom. Very nice bathroom amenities. Read entire member review >>
Starboard side, close to the front, great location - we loved being able to see the Captain and his crew on The Bridge hard at work, we were so close! Smooth, quiet, great cabin. Read entire member review >>
We liked our cabin in Aqua Class and the Stateroom Attendants assigned to us. they were just terrific and provided great service. However, there is barely enough space for your clothes and other items. I am 5 feet tall and the cabinet over the bed is useless for me. It is COMPLETELY UNREACHABLE unless I stand on the bed and at 65+ years, that is not something I want to do. The night light in the bathroom is a welcome addition
This review is relevant to all the Balcony, Concierge and Aqua class staterooms on the Solstice class ships. They made the rooms smaller so as to accommodate additional space in the Suite classes. On the Millenium class ships the suites are smaller than these and the balcony cabins are about 20 square feet larger. Ah well, if you want space then it is a suite you have to travel it. I loved our cabin. In good condition. Never had a problem with anything except the safe issue which was resolved. We heard heavy walking above our heads early in the morning. The cabin is directly below the beauty salon and the walkway to the fitness center. The cabin is located RIGHT across from the elevators and super convenient to the stairs (up one flight to the Aqua Spa Cafe). I often ran up for a bite to eat in the cabin on the balcony for lunch. There is a small issue with a slight obstruction of the view up on the balcony because the window washing equipment is right above the balcony and when it's on, the spray soaks the chairs and table and floor. But they all dried quickly. My only issue with the cabin is that the couch is wicked uncomfortable. Read entire member review >>
We booked an accessible AQ because of the rental scooter we needed for my husband. The cabin size worked perfectly. I believe it's sky suite sized. We were able to maneuver very easily. The cabin was big enough for my husband to move the scooter around and do a k turn to face out. The bed is in the middle with a 1/2 couch in the corner by the door. The cabin is 1/2 size bigger than standard with a balcony size again 1/2 size bigger. The furniture on the deck was comfortable but the desk chair and couch were not.
Storage is limited to a dresser/closet and shelves in night stands with no over-the-bed storage. We had no problem finding a place for everything. The only real complaint that was a total surprise was that the door didn't lock. That creeped me out a bit but I guess that's for safety reasons. The bathroom is very roomy with a roll in shower. We did what everybody does and threw down some towels to keep leakage onto the floor at a minimum.
Overall we were happy with our cabin, great location, some overhead noise in the morning but we were always up anyway. The cabin steward was a little aloof but tried hard to be nice. No towel animals. :( Read entire member review >>
Aqua Class Cabin 1635, port side towards aft but still close to the central stairs/elevator. The room was quiet. No noise from neighbors or any crew staff. Bed was located close to the balcony. Read entire member review >>
Our room was located at the left front (port) side, at the very front of Aqua class right next to the relaxation room and spa concierge entrance. Our balcony had a very high ceiling and overlooked the wing of the navigation area, so there was some obstructed view. We did not have any rooms facing ours, as this section faces the back of the massage rooms. It was extremely quiet at all times, there are no public areas overhead to create noise at night, and the entrance to the spa area was left open, so we never heard a door slam or loud talking. The room is spacious, with storage under the bed for luggage, and racks that drop down to double hang clothing. There's storage above the bed, plus drawers, too. Our closet door stuck on the left side, bath has lots of drawers and cabinet storage. Love the spa shower, tile floor, back-splash, counter space and fog-less oval on mirror. TV good size, comfortable reclining chairs and footrests on balcony. Read entire member review >>
We were in Aqua Class. 1631. Very well designed cabin, with lots of space to store things, though we could have uses a few more exterior shelves in a corner the way they used to have them. Storing the luggage under the bad is also handy. The balcony with 2 lounge chairs was very nice, making reading as relaxing as it could be. On our daylight free time we tended to do so on the balcony rather than the more noisy pool area. The bathroom was larger than usual, and in this category, the shower seemed a bit larger and had very good hardware and an elaborate shower mechanism with multiple nozzles. Great location, not quite mid ship but not aft. Very quiet at all times of the day and night. Overhang gives shade but can get quite hot on the balcony in port depending on the time of the day. Read entire member review >>
AQ 1603: Midship near close to Elevator. Not the biggest Cabins we have seen for a Balcony Cabin but since we were located on the angle of the Hump, the Balcony itself is about 50% larger than normal. Not many drawers in main cabin area but there are two large cupboards above the head of the bed that made up for the lack of other storage space.
Linens, towels and Pillow in AQ are like the Concierge Class so upgrades over normal cabin linens. Free unlimited bottled water is also a nice perk.
Being able to eat in Blu is best benefit of AQ Class for sure. Great food, great presentation, and wonderful service. Maybe not great if you are strictly a meat and potato person, but for us it was wonderful. Read entire member review >>
It was great to have a fresh and new cabin, with a well appointed bathroom/shower. The room had a flat screened TV and an adequate closet with lots of hangers and floor space that accommodated only shoes. Luggage had to go under the bed, which is also where the life jackets were stored in a crate. Storage space in the bathroom was good, but that cannot be said for the cabin area. There are only three deep drawers and then two overhead bins over the bed. Vanity space was quite limited. The sofa was huge and very hard, uncomfortable and very impractical. Instead of night stands with drawers, we had small stands with two open shelves. Information in the room directory indicated that 5 women were involved in the planning and design of the cabins. Their input for the bathroom was great; however, not for the cabin storage space. Definitely pack lightly. Read entire member review >>
1525 Port Forward Aqua Class - We liked this location very much because it didn't have an overhang of the deck above but just a typical ceiling and we had fabulous ocean views. This is also a very quiet area of the ship away from excess foot traffic and close to the Forward Elevators and Relaxation room and Aqua Spa. Close to pools above as well. Aqua 1537 is beautiful. There was plenty of hangup closet space but limited drawer space. Showers were fantastic. (took a picture to see if I could get one for my house). Its great that the comfortable bed run parallel to the balcony.A few time I did hear "banging" (service area nearby) nothing that awoke me (sound sleeper) and I did not consider it an issue. The thermostats in the room were excellent and there was no noise for the heat or AC. All good. Read entire member review >>
Cabin - nice, a lot of compartment, shower (Aqua Class Cabin) - was wonderful, I spend more than 1/2 hour in the shower every night - great pressure, the shower has the the shower head call Rain - it's wonderful also they have this small shower head shuts that gives you massage, I will definitely will missed it. Aqua Class is the way to go. Read entire member review >>
Our cabin was beautiful. Did not care for the above the bed storage space as I had to climb on the bed to get to my clothes. This might not be too easy for an older person. All else was good. Bathroom, shower was great. Read entire member review >>
1608 - on the hump. Large balcony with chairs and foot rests. Close to mid-ship elevators. Bed next to balcony. Some noise from the deck overhead, especially during pool parties late at night. Balcony under overhang - we liked the shade! Read entire member review >>
We had cabin 1544 a standard Aqua Class Cabin. The cabin was located next to the forward elevator bank, which for me was excellent since I am handicapped. The forward elevator bank is less used then the central bank were all the actives and venues are located except for the main theatre. I found the cabin to be spacious and comfortable. The shower is a big blus there was ample storage for us.
The balcony was nice and we were lucky all the ports and such were on our side of the ship. Our cabin layout was the the bed was closest to the balcony. Personally I would have liked the cabin next door were the sofa was next to the balcony, so you could sat and look out. But we had the ability to lay in bed and see the sea and land sail by.
