This ship is definitely for the older generation - 45+. NOT a ship for kids. I think there were only 6 kids on our cruise, so warning...if you want the kids to have fun, not a good idea to select this ship. The destinations are not for kids/teens either. It is an older ship, but upgraded with nice decor and is very well maintained. ALL employees were extremely great! When you cruise please ...
We have sailed on Celebrity several times, and this was our third TransAtlantic cruise. We selected this particular ship and sailing for the ports of call. We have wanted to see different parts of the British Isles, and wanted to finish the cruise in the U.K. so we could stay in London for the Coronation.
BOTTOM LINE: If you want to skip to the high-level overview, this was an EXCELLENT cruise. ...
Background Information
This was our 4th Celebrity cruise (29th overall for me, 30th overall for my husband) - we'd previously sailed on Equinox (sister ship), Constellation, and Apex. We had cancelled a Bermuda cruise on Celebrity Summit in June 2022, so this cruise was what we rebooked instead. We had never done a Transatlantic cruise and all of the port stops were new for us.

Our 15-day transatlantic cruise on the Celebrity Constellation from April 17 to May 2, 2023, was absolutely wonderful. We have been on about seven transoceanic sailings and maybe thirty total cruises on RCL, NCL, MSC, Holland, and Carnival. This is our sixth cruise since the industry opened up after the height of the pandemic.
Preparation: We booked an inside cabin with a fantastic RT airfare ...
The ship older but very well kept. I've read reviews on the contrary . I don't agree. We thought it was very clean. the attendants in all areas were exceptional.
The shows we saw were good but i think younger audience may be disappointed in some of them. Husband loves the shows so he was happy .
Buffet was so great we only went to dinning room 1 time it was good as well.
the stateroom was ...
Long time cruiser that has always wanted and looked forward to doing a transatlantic (TA) but with kids at home and in school the spring/fall sailings never worked for us. Fast forward to 2022.. both kids away at college so good opportunity to finally get to go on that first TA. However, with two kids in college we needed to find a deal to fit our budget. Even at a year out we found several ...
The food was exceptional. The buffet was the best on any ship and I mean any ship. Tuscan Grill was WOW. It just wins as one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Their cakes were disgusting though. However food on the ship is important but does not make the cruise on its own.
Activities were very lack luster. There was no BINGO which was weird. They also showed Whitney Huston movie 8 times and ...
PROS -
Ship is great, Medium Size, Easy to get around. We sail about 6 times a year. This was our 4th on Celebrity.
Ship only had 1200 passengers on this sailing. We have sailed on the Summit and the Infinity before.
My wife was on the Summit 2 months ago and she said it was great.
CONS -
Room Steward - Very Slow, Left for dinner at 530pm come back at 8pm and room still hasn't been ...
This was a make up vacation for a cancelled oversea trip. We have sailed on the new and older Celebrity ships but prefer this mid-age Solstice-class ship for a good blend of service, activities and comfort.
First of all, I was a little shocked as the normal average passenger age of 55, appeared closer to 70 years old on this cruise.
The Good: Well maintained ship, service from everyone was ...
Overall we had a great time. The crew, service, and ship condition were top-notch. There were, however, some disappointments.
Food: Portion sizes, unlike other cruise lines, are still ample. The Oceanview Cafe buffet is fantastic, especially the fresh-baked croissants, pizza and omelet stations. One notable disappoint across the ship is desserts. All the cakes start with a dry spongecake that ...
