Just back from our first trip with celebrity on the equinox. Our veranda room was ok, but we were right above a smoking area which wasn’t great. The AC in the room wasn’t good but if you don’t mind sweating for the first 3 hours of bed it gets “cool” at some point. Shows were great. Staff for the most part were great. Buffet and bars, good. Lots of places to find a spot to grab a drink and relax. ...
Went on a 9 day cruise from Athens to Venice with stops in the Greek Islands, Turkiye, Croatia and Italy
Loved most of the stops.
The staff and Crew of the Constellation are wonderful.
The ship on the other hand was a big disappointment
Food was the same every day in the main dining room, The buffet was the same every day
No variety at all. Also, cruising on this ship they try to ...
I have sailed on 31 cruises now and Celebrity Millennium takes the cake for, by far, the worst I have been on yet. What is so disappointing to me is Celebrity Edge is by far my favorite ship I have sailed on. Celebrity was my preferred brand until this cruise.
For added context I am in my late 40s and sailed with my adult family in concierge class rooms - I bring this up because while it may ...
Review: July 28th Sailing of the Celebrity Solstice.
To begin: I have sailed in riverboats on the Rhine, as well as on the Fair Princess, the HAL Ryndam, the Constellation, Eclipse and Infinity. This was my first cruise since 2014. It had been cancelled several times due to health problems in the family and the Covid issues. My personal rating of this cruise is six out of ten. It would have ...
Just came off the Silhouette after 12 day cruise. Overall it was a unexpectedly poor experience primarily due to the severe overcrowding, every cabin packed, including many families with small children. All cabins were booked, lots of cabins seemed to be filled with families with 1-3 kids. I realize this was school holiday period in UK so we expected some amount of kids, but we thought given ...
I start by questioning some rather negative reviews of Celebrity Silhouette which reference guests' demographic, number of children onboard, busyness of ship, over crowding etc. I don't believe this to be different to any other cruise ship (of a comparable class or equivalent 'passengers to space ratio'), having sailed myself on Royal Caribbean, P&O, Princess as well.
My family (me, my wife, ...
We chose this cruise as we had been impressed by Celebrity on a taster day visit we had done pre-Covid and because of the interesting itinerary.
We had been concerned about some negative reviews post-Covid suggesting standards had slipped. However, we got a decent deal with plenty of OBC so decided to press ahead. We were delighted that we did. The whole experience was first class, we could ...
We cruised on the Summit in December 2022 and fell in love with the ship. We liked the smaller size, the food was delicious, and the service was top-notch. When we saw she had a sailing to Bermuda in July 2023, we couldn't resist. We wish we had resisted and had chosen a different cruise line.
First of all, the good:
~Embarkation was the easiest of any port we have ever been to. It was ...
Due to COVID I had to cancel a long Celebrity cruise and had cruise credit to use up.
As my wife cannot fly, we pick ports in driving range. So, Bermuda here we come. A lovely Island.
The wheelchair support on and off ship was excellent. Great embarkation and disembarkation teams.
Welcome lunch in main dining room was disappointing. Wife's salmon was nearly jerky, and the room setup ...
This was our fourth cruise on the Summit, of which three have been one week cruises roundtrip from Bayonne to Bermuda. We are Celebrity regulars, with multiple trips on Solstice-class ships and a recent cruise on the Beyond. Other than the Summit, we have not cruised on the other Millennium-class ships, mainly because we prefer the space and amenities of the larger ships. But we wanted a quick ...
