A drawback on this cruise was the high temperature in Italy. But I don´t blame Celebrity. Our experience is 12 weeks, 8 ships from 5 different companies. First time without balcony. I think this was the oldest ship we have been on. But we are much older, so we felt at home. Free parking in Ravenna, and smooth embarkation. What surprised us most was the amount of staff, everywhere. In level with ...
I will start with the good stuff because there isn't much of it. My waitstaff in the MDR was wonderful but I felt bad for them because of the complaints about the food, the time it took to get it, the taste, portion size, etc. The Guest Relations Desk was very helpful. The Casino staff was wonderful, very helpful and attentive. Getting on and off the ship was so easy and fast. I love the Lawn Club ...
This was our 24th cruise but only our 2nd on Celebrity. We just retired (ages 59 and 63) and this was to be our cruise to celebrate our retirement.
This ship is in dire need of upgrading. We struggled to find a single chair anywhere in the public areas where the seat had any support at all, they were so old there was no cushioning left in them, fabric frayed and stained. This included the ...
We chose this Celebrity cruise based on the reputation of the cruise line and on the Venice to Athens itinerary. Our experience was below that on four previous cruises, two cruises with Royal Caribbean and two with Holland America.
-The website was cumbersome and difficult to navigate. Customer service was non-responsive. The one thing Celebrity did well was to take your money; anything else ...
We have just returned from a week aboard Celebrity Infinity.
We have cruised many times before with P&O, Princess, Royal Caribbean and MSC - This was our first cruise with Celebrity.
We travelled as a family with two teenagers during 6 weeks holidays. There was not very many kids on board which suited us fine.
Yes - Infinity is showing her age and is due a refurb, but she still has a ...
The people in the Corporate offices, who have never worked for a cruise line should not be making decisions about the food in the main dining room. Menu is the same every night except for the second to last evening. Gone are the days of lamb shanks, duck & osso bucco. Be prepared for chicken, salmon and NY strip every evening. Which is great but no other variety as in the past. We have ...
Same food served every night except for the 2nd of last night , when lobster tails and baked Alaska was added. Celebrity menus used to have 2 sides. Classic menu served every night, consisting of baked chicken, salmon, pasta and beef. Plus there was another menu which changed every night. Now only classic menu served. It seems they want us to eat at the specialty restaurants which cost a lot. ...
We chose Celebrity only because we could do two back to back cruises 7th August and 17th August 2023 (18 nights total) which covered places in Greece and Italy which we wanted to revisit. We knew nothing about their ships until now, as our past 12 cruises were mainly with P &O, Princess, and Cunard, including five half world cruises, and a few smaller ships like Paul Gaugin and Ponant, plus river ...
This was our 3rd cruise on the Constellation, so we did have some reference points and something to compare it with. To our great regret, it was getting worse every time we sailed the Connie, and it has come to a point where we are seriously evaluating our further relationship with Celebrity. In fact, at the prices they want nowadays, the value is just not there…
As a point of reference, we ...
The title of this review will be explained later, and it has nothing to do with hygiene. For identification purposes my wife and I have been cruising fairly regularly for the past 20 years. We are “older,” fairly healthy, we prefer taking the stairs to riding the elevator. Celebrity has been our favorite cruise line since the start, but we have also cruised on Princess, RCL, Holland America and ...
