We really enjoyed just about everything on this cruise.
Departing from San Juan means that you are in the Lesser Antilles the whole of the time - just skipping from island to island.
Our cabin, 8148, was great - not one thing to say a negative about. The bed was excellent, the hot water quick, the shower good - good location close to stairs and lifts, and quiet at night.
The food was ...
Flew into San Juan a few days prior to the cruise. Flying in early turned out to be great. Not only did we have time to unwind, we also got to enjoy the San Sebastian street Festival. Old San Juan was quite crowded with people enjoying the festival events. We took public bus from our hotel to the Old City (75 cents) and then the free trolley to get around to most places. Old San Juan is a US ...
PRE-CRUISE HOTEL
We stayed at the Sheraton Old San Juan. Cab ride from airport was $17. Hotel was just OK. The rooms are old and tired. Biggest complaint was the bed which was definitely not "Heavenly" (I removed the bedding to confirm ). Our room was not available upon arrival so we headed out to find some lunch. Ended up at Mojito's and tried the local fare "Mofongo" with cod that was quite ...
As usual, I booked this trip more than a year in advance, and never had any reason to regret having done so. Not only did I get the best airfare as soon as the airline's booking window opened, the cruise fare never fell to a lower level than it had been when I reserved, staying at least 100 bucks per person higher right up until sailing day. And my timing was also good in that after a mostly ...
Our 7th cruise on the Summit. It is a great size and we find that the public areas, lounges, venues etc. are just great. They have many things to do aboard and the crew is the best around. We did many excursions on the islands mostly with local tours, even some for the 2nd time because the previous times were so much fun and great prices. Our cabin was located mid ship and our cabin stewards Mo ...
My husband and I have been on 8 cruises each (four of them with us being together) Out of the 4 we've been on together, I'd have to say this was our favorite. I love that the ship is not too ginormous and that you are able to easily navigate it. There are still plenty of things to do even with it being a bit smaller. We loved the martini bar and Crush and spent many nights there before and after ...
We are Elite Plus on Celebrity and have been on many cruises and different classes of Celebrity ships. This was one of our favorite cruises. I know everyone has a different perspective of the ship and their cruise, however no negatives from us. Also, I think people seem to expect something for nothing, which just won't work theses days. Anyway, we found the crew to be smiling, caring and engaging. ...
Everything was okay at best.
food was not as good as expected
entertainment was poor because the magician was alright and the comedian was a little inappropriate for children under 15
there was Broadway style shows which were kind of weird
pool was small and was salt water and was 5ft 6in to 6ft 2in so nobody could stand up and the other pool was smaller 4ft deep and filled with ...
We had 11 people 5 cabins. we paid for a suite and they gave us a handy caped room and told us it was a suite.{not}#9123 butler was not very well informed and when told about things that needed to be fixed never told anyone so i called to get people to take care of my self. the toilet did not flush all the time only sporadically that took two days to get corrected. phone did not work in bathroom ...
This was my second time on the Summit but this time went Aqua Class. Loved Blu for dinner. The staff was friendly and more than accommodating. The food was great and the wine selections were fabulous. My cabin attendant was very good and had my room done by the time I returned from breakfast. Well done!
So, here the thing: I was on deck 9 and even though they don't say it, my view was ...
