We chose this cruise for the ports. We wanted to see a Dubai and Petra. In my opinion, the ship was in pretty good shape. Yes, it needs paint in a few areas, but it is due for a refurbish anyway. I like the M class ships and was very happy with the ship. We could not get excited about the entertainment offerings in the theatre, which I think was because it was a repositioning cruise. We did enjoy ...
We went for this cruise for the itinerary. Had not sailed with Celebrity before but reviews were generally good. We were disappointed. Most cruise lines want to extract your cash but Celebrity take this to another level. Definitely not to the standard of Princess or Cunard.
Their entertainment programme, especially for five consecutive sea days was very thin. Not everyone wants to lie on a sun ...
We were very excited about this cruise and choose celebrity with its great reputation and with this ship having so many sea days we wanted to make sure we had great food and great entertainment... we were in an aqua spa suit with balcony and on first impressions although it was dated it was very clean so we were happy well this didn’t last long... our room was above the main buffet so it was noisy ...
Let me start by saying the majority of the staff were great. I found some of the male help in the dining room did not give way to any females, even when they, the female, had the right of way. I found the decor of the ship drab and the floor plan very confusing. The organization of the ship/ships crew I found to be disorganized. Why, for the love of sanity, would a crew member to told to paint ...
The holiday was part of my wife's 80th birthday celebration.
Having been several cruises with other companies we wanted to try out the Celebrity Cruise line. Also we had never before been through the Suez Canal.
We spent a few days in Rome (a city we are familiar with) before the cruise and then a few days in Dubai (a new experience) at the end. Seen it now - wouldn't go back!
The ship ...
We selected this cruise based on the interesting itinerary from Rome to Abu Dhabi, including a journey through the Suez Canal and a trip to Petra from Aqaba, Jordan. The ports were all a lot of fun and interesting. Several were easy enough to do on our own. Our time was limited in Catania and Muscat, so I wish we were there for more hours.
The cruise was long with many sea days, but we enjoyed ...
Me and my husband plus a group of couples of 11 did the 12-Nights Israel and Mediterranean Cruise aboard Celebrity Constellation from October 30 to November 11, 2018.
We are all seasoned cruisers having been cruised for 12 or more times aboard Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival. It’s our first time to cruise with Celebrity. Here are our overall positive and negative comments.
Positive ...
We chose this cruise line because of the itinerary and that is the only reason, three days in Israel. Three cabins, two generations of cruisers. We have been on lots of cruises, never on Celebrity and never again!
Let me start with the positive: big upgraded rooms (we paid for this!) nice staff.
Now the negative:
we paid to upgrade my parents, we show up at entry, there is no cabin ...
It was the worse cruise we have ever been on. On getting to Rome Port the ship wasn’t there due to bad weather which they were aware of 24 hours beforehand. We then had to wait over 6 hours on a hard chair (if you were lucky to get one) and all we were offered was a small bottle of water and a small packet of crackers which they run out of so we only got 1 to share. When we got to our cabin it ...
We chose this cruise due to the ports (Rome, Crete, 3 days Israel, Mykonos, Athens , Naples) and because we liked our cruise on the Celebrity Silhouette in January.
This was my 15 cruise (Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival, Holland America)and I believe the Constellation is my favorite ship so far. I enjoyed the easy layout and the general ambiance. It is not a party ship and in ...
