Embarkation went extremely quickly on the Edge. We did the check in through the app and got the express pass. It took no more than five minutes to go through security and get on the ship. We went to our stateroom and the sea pass cards were waiting in the mail slot outside of the room.
The ship is gorgeous and there are many venues to hang out in and explore. I would recommend checking out the ...
The boat is a bit older but had some really nice unique things, like in the blu dining room you could see out from every seat, the bar kept curtains open later and the ocean view cafe was spread out so flowed better. They also left salad bar open longer which is great if you got back later in the day. The need to reconfigure the spa and Persian gardens.spa rooms were too bright the Persian garden ...
Horrible dining room management and mediocre customer service basically ruined our cruise.
I'll start with the Positives:
Good price and value proposition
Great itinerary with thoughtful destinations
Good ship
Good stateroom service
Can have a great time without buying lots of extras
Great food
We did this as a big anniversary trip, but also needed to do it on a budget. ...
My wife and I cruise extensively. We love Celebrity ships for service at par with 6 stars luxury cruises. Smart ship design with multiple areas where one can enjoy smooth music, drink, conversation is another undeniable attribute of all Celbrity ships.
Edge managed to lack all the above.
Service in all public areas is below average.
Pool is small for the ship and is further squeezed by ...
Our last cruise was onboard a MSC ship and almost put us off cruising for life so bad was the experience fortunately our week on the Edge was a million times better and has restored our faith in cruising starting with a smooth check in followed by a lovely warm welcome onboard and welcome drinks and then been able to leave our hand baggage in our stateroom where we met our brilliant attendant ...
Sometimes, the best things in life are not planned. All my life, I've said I was going on a Mediterranean cruise. I didn't know when or how--I just knew it was going to happen. I, February, we were out of state, on a short trip, when my husband received a late night phone call from one of his sons, asking if we'd be interested in cruising on the new Celebrity ship with them. My husband is ...
We had a wonderful time on this cruise, but there are some things we feel Celebrity could improve upon. We are a couple (early 50s) with a teenager. Here is our take on the experience:
-The itinerary: Amazing! Rome, Naples, Livorno/Florence, Monaco, Cannes, Majorca and Barcelona.
-The cabins: We had two connecting Infinite Veranda cabins. The cabins were light and comfortable. The connecting ...
We sailed as a family with two girls aged 12 and 14. Previously we have sailed with Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Holland America and Princess. This was one of our top three cruises and the food and service in the main dining room was the best we have received on any cruise. The food was consistently very good every day except on the last day when the medium rare steak I requested was served well ...
This was my first cruise with Celebrity. I wanted to try the line and wanted a 7 day Med on a small-medium ship so Infinity fit the bill. I was a bit apprehensive when I read some reviews (especially as my husband is not a cruise lover and has to be dragged on one).
The words "old, dated, tired" kept going round in my head from other reviews. But it goes to show you should keep an open mind...I ...
We choose this cruise because of the ports visited-Sicily, Malta, Argostoli,Greece, Dubrovnik, Croatia, Koper, Slovenia. The ship is older, but still lovely. We were in an Aqua class cabin at the rear of the ship and loved it. We enjoyed the Blu Dining Room where the food was excellent. We felt the staff was very accommodating throughout the ship. A lot of people on the forum complain the ...
