It is understandable why they send an older ship to Antarctica, people are looking for that specific destination.
It was a big disappointment dealing with Celebrity before the cruise: many cancellations and re-bookings of services and excursions with significant loss of funds when converting CAD to USD and back. E-mails were not answered, phone calls as well, after 2-3 hours waiting on hold, ...
My family upgraded to the premium package; unfortunately, nothing was available. Premium orange juice, Evian water, and Arizona Ice Tea were not available the entire cruise. Aqua Panna was available during dinner, (01 bottle) but unavailable during our stay. At one point in time the private bar advised me that area where this water was stored was closed.
My son is a special needs adult ...
First off, let me say I am a somewhat experienced cruiser who has been sailing since 1998 on various cruise lines( 25 total trips), including Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, MSC and Celebrity. I have sailed 5 times with Celebrity, and have 4 more trips booked at the moment.
The Infinity was in the poorest condition of any CCL ship I have sailed on. This ship really shows her age. Rust ...
My wife and I love cruising. Probably 10-12 cruises. We have cruised with Royal C. Norwegian, Holand A. and Princess.
We cruised with Princess twice with Covid requirements.
Friends and family having cruised with Celebrity had praised the cruise line.
Recently returned from a 4 day on Celebrity Silhouette.
We loved the ships ambience, our Concierge Balcony cabin was great as was our ...
I moved to Florida in 2021. My first January, the temps were freezing so I promised myself a cruise for January/February 2023. Celebrity was having a sale for no solo supplement and Tampa is driving distance for me, so I booked. I was excited to see Panama and revisit Costa Rica.
Embarkation was extremely fast. I used the valet service to park my car. That was very quick. I walked into the ...
We sailed in a suite for the first time - Cabin 1617! Perfect location on Deck 11 - mid-ships. The suite has a separate living room, bedroom, roomy bathroom, walk-in closet, and guest closet! It also has a double sized deck with two lounge chairs and a table and chairs. It even has two planters.
The service was outstanding. Eating in Luminae was a treat because the service was impeccable! ...
Getting on the ship was a breeze. We arrived slightly before noon and were having lunch by 1.
This is the third time we have been on this ship and it’s still in pretty good shape, the last time we were on it was 10 years ago. We were on its sister ship the Solstice in September and they are pretty much in the same shape.
This was our 19th cruise, we have sailed with Celebrity 5 times ...
First off, we're experienced cruisers. This was #31 across all brands but mainly with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. It was also our third Celebrity cruise in the last 6 months. This cruise gets 2 stars. One for the itinerary which was outstanding (Antarctica) and was the reason we took the cruise. The second star is for the crew. Even though they appeared to be significantly understaffed and ...
First, Cruise Critic does not have an explanation of what the rating bubbles mean. I am assuming that 3 means good.
We enjoyed the cruise and would go on another Constellation cruise assuming the quality does not drop lower (the food quality on this cruise was lower than the food quality on summer cruise on Summit), and the price were reasonable.
The service was great everywhere on the ship ...
We are regular travellers with Celebrity and have always found the cruises to be first class. Prior to this cruise we sailed around UK just after the covid restrictions were lifted. This cruise was up to the usual standard.
We accept that as a result of the pandemic these businesses have lost considerable sums of money and some catch up is needed. However, the cutbacks are now starting to ...
