Ship is great, Medium Size, Easy to get around. We sail about 6 times a year. This was our 4th on Celebrity.
Ship only had 1200 passengers on this sailing. We have sailed on the Summit and the Infinity before.
My wife was on the Summit 2 months ago and she said it was great.
CONS -
Room Steward - Very Slow, Left for dinner at 530pm come back at 8pm and room still hasn't been ...
The food was exceptional. The buffet was the best on any ship and I mean any ship. Tuscan Grill was WOW. It just wins as one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Their cakes were disgusting though. However food on the ship is important but does not make the cruise on its own.
Activities were very lack luster. There was no BINGO which was weird. They also showed Whitney Huston movie 8 times and ...
Overall we had a great time. The crew, service, and ship condition were top-notch. There were, however, some disappointments.
Food: Portion sizes, unlike other cruise lines, are still ample. The Oceanview Cafe buffet is fantastic, especially the fresh-baked croissants, pizza and omelet stations. One notable disappoint across the ship is desserts. All the cakes start with a dry spongecake that ...
Service was a 10 everywhere. They got a little pushy with the drinks on the last couple of nights. The comedian and musician were fun, the production shows were so-so but it was obvious the cast members put a lot of work into them. "Neil Diamond" was good, but the soul singer and the cello player were just not up to standard.
I actually had inedible food in the main dining room on two nights: ...
Traveled with son/wife and grandson/wife.
Grandson's wife was first time cruiser. Very excited.
Overall, we all enjoyed the cruise, but the grandson/wife will take their two teenagers on something else next time.
The passengers were definitely older. Recommended RCarib. Better suited to their family.
Thoroughly enjoyed the specialty restaurants, but would not choose Le Petit again ...
We booked this cruise back in July of 2022 because we kept hearing great things about Celebrity. For the most part the service was good outside of the main dining room but quality of food was about as low as you could go, including the specialty restaurant. Fruit was hard and zero taste, meat on the buffet was always a mystery because of the amount of sauce that they used to cover it up. Fatty, ...
Overall:
This was our 5th cruise with Celebrity, 1st time on the Silhouette, and 35th cruise overall. For the most part we’ve always been very happy with our cruise experience on previous Celebrity cruises on the Solstice and Equinox. Maybe a dozen kids on this sailing, which was probably due to school being in session and a 10-day sailing. Nothing against kids onboard, our daughter grew up on ...
I've sailed Celebrity before, and chose this one because it fit my schedule. The Solstice is an older ship, but she has been impeccably maintained -spotlessly clean and looking good. The service couldn't have been better. The staff is clearly very happy aboard and it shows with the cheerful, smiling faces at every level of every department. The food was outstanding with several stand-out dishes in ...
The reason I chose this cruise line "Celebrity" was their website was very precise and informative. Their website was not only user friendly but friendly to handicap individuals and their needs.
I have no comparison to other cruise lines, however, I sailed with 2 individuals that had cruised with other companies and they mentioned how they were impressed with the quality of food and friendly ...
We have cruised many times and this time we again chose the Celebrity Solstice for its convenient port at San Pedro, CA and itinerary to the Mexican Riviera. We love the Solstice because it combines a comfortable, mid size ship with very good ports to visit, food in many varied venues and talented entertainment as well as an outstanding crew. We enjoyed the Aqua Class on this cruise with the Spa ...
