Two years ago we sailed to the Caribbean on the Celebrity Reflection. It was an amazing experience! In the meantime we sailed with our teens on Royal Caribbean. RC is great for families, but definitely not the upscale experience we had on the Reflection. We decided to go back to Celebrity this year and pay the higher prices for the higher quality experience.
While the food, entertainment and ...
We chose this cruise due to all the Greek ports that we wanted to visit.
Embarkation was ok, miss the medallion of princess.
Food is not the greatest. The aqua and retreat guest get a much better menu. Menu in the main dining room is less than 2 stars. Fish includes Cajun Spiced Drum, Tilapia of which is mostly farmed and you don’t want to know what they feed farmed raised Tilapia. As I ...
We're an active couple in our 60s; we've wanted to do a cruise to Alaska for a long time; we booking this one because it fit in our schedule and a good last minute deal, we booked it just 3 weeks before sailing.
We've cruised before on NCL and we enjoyed those, but think Celebrity is a notch above.
Embarkation went very smoothly, we had flown into Seattle 2 days ahead and took Amtrak from ...
We took a 7 day cruise to Alaska on celebrity Millennium. Ship was old and needed to be updated. Shore excursions were very expensive for what they offered.
ATV tour is a complete waste of time and money. They take you on a gravel road for 2 miles and then you turn around and come back. This costs $225. When I complained to Celebrity, they said sorry no refunds. We scammed you.
Most ports ...
We are not large ship cruisers and chose Equinox for a family vacation as the idea of the RCCL or NCL big ships was cringe-worthy and we wanted a more upscale experience. We needed a kids club but were not interested in a kid centric cruise line.
Ship's public spaces are well done and have an upscale feel. It was very clean.
We booked all of the family in Aqua Class and that was truly the ...
We stayed in Manhattan for three nights prior to boarding the cruise. I found it difficult to find information on how to best get to the port, but definitely have a car service get you there. This was the fastest boarding we have had in 21 cruises, which was a really nice start to the cruise. Once on board we went to our room to drop off our carry on luggage, our room keys were on the door. ...
Before I even start, it bugs me so much seeing people complain about the smallest things. You get what you make out of your trip. These cruise ships try to cater to the bigger audience, not just YOU specifically. Complaining about things just because you've been on 100 cruises and this one didn't live up to your favorite trip.
The cruise as a whole was good.
We stayed in an ocean view ...
This is going to be an exhaustive review with what would seem to be primarily pointing out the negatives, but overall, we did enjoy our first Celebrity cruise with Summit. For those that have never sailed this ship or with the company itself, I am going to provide as many helpful viewpoints as I can.
To begin with, I am an experienced cruiser. Have done many cruises with Royal Caribbean and ...
This was our first Celebrity cruise and was chosen to accommodate other companions’ time issues and by virtue of an interesting itinerary.
First some good things: Main dining dinners were all good and service there was good. Vast majority of staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our party included one six-year-old and the ship had a great “camp at sea” program run by an exceptional crew ...
Chose this cruise to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary in June. Big mistake. We normally do not cruise in the summer because of the heat and because of there being too many kids onboard.
Our last 3 cruises have been on Edge, Apex and Beyond which are all superb ships but unfortunately during the summer are all in Europe. The Equinox was very dated, crowded and disappointing. There ...
