The cabins have lots of hidden places to put away your stuff. I love the toiletries in the bathroom. Bathrooms have lots of places to put your stuff away. Great showers. My cabin had an extra large balcony which was nice and unexpected. Great tvs and a good selection of programming. This cabin was a great location on the floor, close to the elevator, in the center. 6221 is a veranda cabin, port side on the flat side of the 'hump'. We had a great view from the veranda and looking straight down was deck 5. The cabin could have accommadated four people as there was a trundle bed under the couch and a berth that could have swung down from the ceiling but I really can't imagine four people in there. It was a decent size for two and I was pleasantly surprised at the bathroom - there was lots of storage in there and a good shower. There was zero room for two so brushing teeth was a 'my turn - your turn' affair. The cabin was very clean and storage was OK, after we got our suitcases under the bed out of the way. Jose brought us extra hangers, a body pillow, and anything else we needed. The cabin was very quiet, even being next to the elevators and the iLounge. We quickly found this cabin was perfect for us as it was steps from the elevators and stairs, one deck from lounges and restaurants, two decks to the Martini bar and shopping, and very close to the Grand Foyer where most of the nighttime activity was. My only complaint was people who insisted on letting their cabin doors slam. They are steel safety doors and if you let them close, they slam with a "thunk", which can be a drag at 0630 hours. CLOSE YOUR DOOR GENTLY, PEOPLE, PLEASE!! Read entire member review >>
Cabin was as we expected as we've been on several solstice class ships. I find the cupboards above the bed to high as I'm short. To make best use of space, I bring items from dollar stores such as 2 small no-lid containers to hold loose items in the bed-side tables, pop up laundry hamper and place it inside the closer and a jewelry "hanger" . I also take wire hangers (from dry cleaners) and I leave all this behind on the ship. If you aren't concierge level - remember cotton swabs. If we had any questions we asked stateroom attendant and everything was addressed with a smile on their face. Read entire member review >>
This cabin was nicely appointed and comfortable. However, next time I would choose something closer to the middle of the ship. We felt quite a bit of movement being so far forward, and this cabin (along with the 4 or 5 closest to it) is bumped out a bit from the rest of the cabins, so it is flush with the hull of the ship. That makes it extra windy at times. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was spacious (plenty of room for us to put all our things away...but we were just two people). The bed was situated next to the veranda door and we kept the door open almost always to hear the ocean. The attendants were very attentive and the room was spotless everyday. Cabin was great, plenty of room, loads of storage and very, very clean. One downside the noise when docking was horrendous. The severe shuddering when moving from port caused a bottle to fall off the TV cabinet. When anchoring it really does sound like an explosion, esp at 6am in the morning when in a deep sleep - boy does that wake you up! You did get used to it though and it wouldn't really put me off in the future as the big benefit is that you don't get noise from other people walking to their cabins - so swings and roundabouts.
Balcony size is very impressive. Read entire member review >>
Lovely cabin with standard Veranda. We had moved for this leg of our trip from a "bump" veranda which was half again as large as the standard size, but this one was adequate. Note that most verandas, except for bump and aft, are the same size, whether you book Aqua Class or Concierge Class or just "Deluxe" Veranda. The location of this cabin requires a fair bit of walking, but that's not all bad. Plenty of storage space. Read entire member review >>
Cabin itself was great - roomier than we expected with a comfortable bed, couch, and nice deck; bathroom was big enough for both of us. However, it was very loud - located near a service door that was very loud/made a slamming noise that rocked our room. We were awakened at least 2-3 times every night even though my wife and I are heavy sleepers. Read entire member review >>
Cabin on deck 6 forward so a long walk to everywhere but balcony had a corner view as well as looking outward which although we could see other balconies and they us, it was worth it. There was a service door next to our cabin but it was no problem. Bathroom and shower the biggest so far, but we had to ask for toiletries, even though brochures say that these are standard in all cabins and more towels as only 2 small and 2 even smaller towels issued initially. Wonderful, attentive service. Cleaned twice daily. Ample room for clothes and bathroom amenities. The shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer here of good quality and quantity. Read entire member review >>
Typical cruise cabin with small veranda. But the beds were extremely comfy. And the air conditioner actually cooled well. The steward was not hovering but always there when needed and kept the room clean.
I'm not 100% sure of our veranda category. It was one of the less expensive ones. Read entire member review >>
Cabin long and narrow, balcony with 2 chairs and table . Room so narrow kept bumping into my husband trying to get ready for dinner. Wanted to remove the coffee table in front of the couch to make more room. King Size Bed very comfortable. 3 large drawers for clothing, double closet, storage above bed and below where we put luggage, lots of space in bathroom to store any personal things. Plenty of open counter space. Shower had more room than other lines I've been on. Read entire member review >>
Lovely to have patio. Seeing the Port of Miami lit up on return was unforgettable. Don't miss it. It was 5 am, but one of the highlights of the cruise. and have your camera waiting. Read entire member review >>
Nice cabin conveniently located right by a staircase but right above the lifeboats so view from the lower part of the veranda was partially blocked with posts holding the lifeboats. We won't take the cruise assigned cabin again. Read entire member review >>
It was near the hide way so I could cut through to the elevator or stair. I prefer pull out couch but only got top bunk instead I not too with ladder . I didn't reliazed they was a light there till the third day. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was on the smallish size. Also we experienced much noise, perhaps due in part to the proximity of the cabin to the nearby elevators. Although the soundproofing on the ship seems to be state-of-the-art, the ship was sailing at fully capacity, with a lots of activity day and night. And no amount of soundproofing was going to keep noise out from the active adjacent cabins, etc. We are not light sleepers, but the noise regrettably affected our sleep. Maybe were just getting crankier as we get older? Read entire member review >>
My cabin was nicely done. My room steward introduced himself on the first day and then I never saw him again! I never had ice which I would have liked. People next door smoked and it kept coming into my balcony so I did not use it much. One night with no smoking I left the door open but the noise from deck 6 was deafening!! All and all I paid double for a balcony room and did not end up using it at all! Read entire member review >>
The cabin was nice and the bathroom was awesome. With 4 of us in the room it was a bit crowded at times but certainly manageable. Clean and fresh and balcony was nice. Missed the fruit in the room we usually get on HAL but we just brought it back from Ocean Buffet. Read entire member review >>
The cabin was very nice. We enjoyed the rear view because you could see the view on both sides of the ship. The cabin was a long walk from all the public areas which has pros and cons. Read entire member review >>
Cabin #7123 had what I believe to be the Interstate 95 of sewage pipes in our bathroom wall. It was that or the cabin next to us had serious bowel problems. I believe the main shitter line from all the cabins above us went through our cabin - constant flushing noise from 6am through midnight. It was not enough to keep us awake, but for people who are light sleepers or are complainers, you will not be happy in this cabin and guest relations will not be happy with you. Otherwise the cabin was great. We were NOT looking over life boats, but rather the overhang to the deck below. We also had a clear view of the bridge to assure the captain was keeping us on course. Very quiet, great location a few steps off central (main) elevator/stair lobby, bed by balcony door, view out to sea is great, view straight down is lifeboat, bathroom is spacious, cabin feels a little cramped and non-hanging clothes storage is limited. Read entire member review >>
