Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

We had a great time on this cruise. Ports and entertainment were excellent. Celebrity ran many extra activities and gifts for elite members and above. The food was quite good. We enjoyed the Ocean View for breakfast and lunch and Select dining for dining. Staff was very attentive to all of our needs. Entertainers wonderful and so was Mickey live! The added Tango show added to the entire feel of ...

Old ship

I accidentally chose this cruise line. I should have read the reviews more. The service on the ship was hit and miss. The food was lukewarm to cold in the main dining room. The stateroom itself was very worn, scratched and chipped in so many places of the room, let alone the scratch sheets. I was informed by the activities director that Celebrity did not budget for entertainment. This is a ...

Always outstanding

After over 100 cruises with Celebrity, I am still impressed with the excellent service. I just keep thinking it couldn't get any better, but it always does. I have cruised all of the major cruise lines over the years. Basically, they all have the same cabins, pretty good food and beautiful ships, but Celebrity takes the first place award for the friendliest and most accommodating crew on the ...

We chose Celebrity because of long and frequent previous experience. To begin : embarkation in Barcelona was the worst we ever experienced. Despite our Elite statute we stood in line for 50 minutes. One man fainted in another line. Cabin with balcony very much alike to other cabins on ships of this class. Excellent steward (Francesco) . Very attentive and efficient. We have no ...

This is a "Premium" cruise line?

In almost 40 years of cruising, this was a unique cruise experience which I can't really explain but I will try.. The travel terminal in Buenos Aires was not set up for a cruise ship and the number of passengers boarding... I think the word chaotic would best describe it well. Probably not Celebrity's fault, but really, couldn't they have done their homework and foreseen this a year ago? ...

Cruise to Cape Horn meets most expectations

We made a late decision to take this cruise after finding it was available at very attractive rates, and booked an Aqua class cabin mid-ship. Aside from cost, we were intrigued by the itinerary -- Buenos Aires to Cape Horn and back, with a variety of ports in Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, plus a number of at-sea days for relaxation. We've cruised Celebrity several times before, and appreciate ...

Celebrity isn't the same anymore

Let's talk about what's good about the ship - outstanding internet, no drop outs & fastest we've experienced at sea. The elevators, fast although there are only two banks. You wont wait long for one. Staff, the crew works extra hard to make you happy. Entertainment, decent overall with some shows outstanding. This is a big ship yet doesn't feel that way and all is pleasing to the eye. We were ...

Memorable experience and great value sailing the bottom of South America

Booked this cruise because of a very attractive sale offer. Normally, most Patagonia sailings aren't round-trip from and to Buenos Aires. This one was and so had more sea days than usual. But it was still a superior itinerary compared to your typical Caribbean sailings. The Eclipse did reflect a "modern luxury" look. Getting around the ship was fine, despite only having two elevator locations ...

We were on the Reflection for her innaugural transatlantic several years go and just loved the ship and the overall experience. When the ship moved to Port Everglades we were thrilled she was there and booked her for three future cruises. The ship is in great ship and very clean and the staterooms are roomy and the bathrooms and shower dynamite. The staff on this ship are so great - friendly, ...

Liked the itinerry, Celebrity has good reputation and timing was right. We had not been on a cruise in a long time and this one did not disappoint. Service was excellent, and except for the tilapia who which was not to our liking the food was very good. We had a wonderful dining room waiter. We had select dining and most nights arrived between 6:30 and 7:00 and never had to wait for a table. ...
