Very good cruise overall. Good ports, & good selection of excursions.
We had to miss a port, Saugany in NS due to the ship slowing to 10 knots in order to protect the Wright whale. I never saw one whale, so that was quite disappointing. None of my ship mates that I talked to saw whales either!
I particularly enjoyed Quebec, & we were there overnight. I had never been there, & it is a ...
This cruise was enjoyable and we enjoyed the ports. Most of the excursions were well done with the exception of a walking tour in Quebec.
All staff members were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room steward, Gede, made certain that the room was perfect. All areas of the ship were cleaned continuously and I saw no problems.
Guest speaker Jim Kennedy, former director of Kennedy ...
We chose this cruise to see an area of the country we had not visited before and to hopefully see the fall leaves change. The original ports were changed but it still ended up an interesting itinerary. The overnight in Quebec was great as we were able to get a good taste of that city. We did a few excursions which I have to say were overpriced for the most part as investigation after the fact ...
This was the third time that I've taken the Canada/New England cruise (once on Constellation, twice on Summit). Thoroughly enjoyed this cruise: Captain Alex was superb with his informational/inspirational banter each day and his accessibility; all staff were excellent (guest relations, cabin steward, main dining room, Elite hostess/lounge servers, cruise director and activities manager. Food in ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary, New England and Canada, which I enjoyed.
I also chose Aqua Class on recommendations from friends who enjoyed the Blu restaurant and the Spa.
Well the balcony cabins are exactly the same as any other balcony cabin and they are located just under the pool and Lido deck which became very noisy at times.
The Blu restaurant was nothing special. I actually ...
We have sailed on Summit before. She is an older and smaller ship, but has been refurbished. She is clean and easy to find your way around. the food and the crew are amazing and friendly. So are the other passengers. We made new friends every day. Our cabin steward was wonderful. He took very good care of us and got us everything that we needed. We took private tours at most of the ports and were ...
We cruised Summit out of Port Liberty for 14 days to Canada and New England. Overall it was a wonderful cruise with excellent ports and the staff on Summit were exceptional. That starts from the top with Captain Alex who was very visible and always entertaining and humorous. We were in a Sky Suite (6132) so we truly enjoyed dining in Luminae most nights and Michael's Club. The MC Concierge ...
I liked the itinerary and had not sailed out of and return to New York City area (Bayonne NJ). This is the quiet, scenic, experience you would expect. Because of the cooler weather the large open pool area was not used by guests so the other public spaces on at sea days were crowded. Loved the color and should not have been surprised that New England during the fall foliage season is crowded ...
Wanted to take a refreshing “cool” cruise to escape the heat of Florida. The Summit itinerary fit this bill. The ship was very old. Expected to have Captain Kate and was disappointed she was on vacation! Our cabin, 2074, was dirty. Dust so bad you could write your name. Sheets had holes..I have pictures. The bathroom floor and shower floor were dirty. Shower curtain had mold on the bottom. We had ...
Enjoyed Captain Alex tremendously. He seems to enjoy his job and lets you know it. Food in main dining room was very good, as was the buffet. Entertainment was varied--something for everyone. Drinks were better than usual on a cruise line.
If you like slot machines, the ones in the ship's casino were quite old. The newest machines (only about four of them), were six or more years old. ...
