We having been cruising the Caribbean in February/March every year for the past eight years and this was our fifth time on Eclipse. We like to escape the last of the dreary winter weather in the U.K. and although this year it was an ordeal getting to Heathrow and then to Miami due to the worst snowfall we have had in years, the cruise was well worth our effort. Embarkation was slick and we were in ...
This was our first on Celebrity of 25th Cruise. So we had a lot to compare. First, the good stuff. The Ships design is top notch, the Stafff and Service was Excellent, Loved the Martini Ice Bar, food choices where great and excellent. Ate in 4 of the Speciality Restaurants. Shoutout to the Lawn Grille food and staff. We went back twice. Won the Bocce Ball Trournement on the Lawn and a Texas ...
We picked this cruise because we were selling with friends from the UK who wanted to see Mexico. We thought the Concierge Class would make the cruise that much more special. Priority Embarkation and Debarkation sounded great for them after such a long journey. However, the trip started with a change of port from Fort Lauderdale to Miami. So we had to change flights and hotel reservations. Then ...
We have been on the cruise four times and decided to go again because it was such a wonderful ship for food, service and entertainment. This last trip was a disappointment.
The service at the restaurant was not up to par, the waiter chose sometimes to serve the women first and sometimes last. While my husband ate his second appetizer the waiter served everyone else their entree...it guess it ...
Good time of the year to get away for warmer weather. While we have been to almost all of these ports several times, we wanted a cruise that was longer than just one week. Itineraries at this time of the year are somewhat limited so this seemed like a good choice. We always enjoy sailing with Celebrity and the Eclipse was a beautiful ship. Only negatives were that the chairs in the main dining ...
We wanted to have a sun holiday after a terrible wet and cold winter. The cruise was very good and relaxing visiting 3 Islands which we had not been to before. We had a balcony at the back of ship deck 9, 3rd time at the back what a wonderful view and peaceful. The cabin Steward Frank was excellent nothing was too much trouble for him room was kept clean and tidy 10 out of 10,one point we did ...
We picked this cruise because we've sailed on the Silhouette before and really liked it. The staff especially, and the ship itself is beautiful and well maintained.
My only concern for this cruise was because of the port change from Ft Lauderdale to Miami. We had already booked our flights and would've been too expensive to change to Miami. Celebrity did offer transportation to the Miami port ...
Loved our suite; loved Michael's club access and dining in Luminae. Service in both was impeccable and food in Luminae is superb. Being able to choose from the Luminae menu and the Main Dining Room menu each day gave us great variety. Very easy on and off process. The entire crew was so friendly and willing to help in any way they could. Our butler and room steward were fantastic. The ...
We were reading about some good deals and wanted to go to some Islands that we have never been to in the southern Caribbean. The deal we got wasn't as good as we expected, however the trip was amazing. We did make a last minute reservation. We really needed a handicapped room. One was not available so we got an inside wheelchair accessible room. We did have to climb around my husband's ...
It's the 5th time we've done this itinerary and absolutely loved it. Just a shame that Celebrity and doing fewer and fewer of these 14 night cruises as it works well for travellers from the UK. It's was full up and so was the following b2b so why stop doing them?? Celebrity need to wake up as this is clearly what their customers want.
Food excellent, staterooms very good, MDR servers were poor ...
