To start, this was my wife and I's 3rd annual cruise (my 4th overall). We take a Caribbean cruise every march so it coincides with my wife's spring break. We had sailed with Carnival the last 2 years and while we really enjoyed Carnival, we wanted something more "sophisticated". We were recommended to Celebrity by friends and called our cruise travel agent and she also highly recommended ...
I selected this particular sailing for my husband and myself based on aft cabin availability, pricing and time of year. We had a very early flight the first day and arrived at the terminal right before they let everyone in. We were processed very quickly and only had to wait about 30 minute before boarding the ship. We were in our cabin by 2:00 pm and had time to unpack and settle in before the ...
We chose the Equinox after being canceled on the Summit when it was chartered. The ship is beautiful. Having sailed on the Constellation, we were excited about the Solstice Class which did not disappoint. We had an Aqua Class Balcony room with our cabin steward Demitri from Macedonia. He was great and very friendly even though he had 14 cabins to take care of. He is engaged to a very sweet server ...
My friend and I chose this cruise mainly for relaxation. The Equinox is a beautiful ship, and the service onboard was five star. Our room attendant, Rob, did an excellent job of keeping our cabin very clean. He also made sure we had fresh bottles of water each day. We ate almost all of our meals in Blu. The hostess, Prudence, was so friendly. After the first day, she was able to call us by ...
We always cruise on Celebrity of Azamara, but had never tried Aqua Class. Usually, we go Concierge Class on a Sunset Veranda cabin. Aqua Class was wonderful, and I give all the credit to the staff at Blu. Blu is the exclusive Aqua Class passenger restaurant. The service was five star and the attention was personal and exceeded our expectations. Blu is intimate and beats the huge dining areas ...
Had a nice week on silhouette.
Here are my observations from a first timer on Celebrity. Just my thoughts, and observations. As a reference, I,ve been on about 20 cruises with a variety of lines.
-underwhelmed by main dining room menu selections and service and food. Close to 2 hours for dinner, food sub par.
-Celebrity attracts a very nice mix of ages crowd.
- lawn club and Tuscan ...
We have previously sailed on the Silhouette and had a great experience. The itinerary was the Western Caribbean, the ports we love. We enjoy the lawn club grill, our favorite celebrity specialty restaurant which is only on the silhouette and the reflection (hope on the edge). The lawn with it's alcoves are also enjoyable. We have sailed over 30 times on celebrity and about 12 on other lines, ...
This was our first X cruise after trying NCL, Princess and RC. We decided to try Celebrity after many mostly positive reviews here.
Overall, this was the most relaxing cruise we've ever had. We never felt rushed or pressured at all. Stress was pretty much non-existent. That doesn't mean all was sweetness and light, though.
Pros
Silly is a beautiful ship with a friendly crew and ...
We chose the Celebrity Silhouette for the itinerary and the ports of call because the previous Cruise on the Equinox was so enjoyable. This ship is big enough you are not bumping into people all the time and the ship personnel are courteous, thoughtful and fun. The food was excellent and the shows were fantastic. Our cabin stewart was able to provide all we required and more. The table ...
When I booked this cruise the departure port was Ft Lauderdale but after the final payment deadline the port was changed to MIami. Ft. Lauderdale was convenient, Miami was not. If you asked, they agreed to transport you from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the Miami Cruise port. However, when you arrive the day before embarkation and leave a day after disembarkation going from airport to hotel, ...
