Because I'm a cruisey and it is the newest ship. The Retreat lounge was ok and I liked the idea that food was once again served in this lounge. I never made it to the Captain's Club. My wife and I were very happy with the food, service and appearance of this aging but beautiful ship. The staff in Micheal's club was particularly helpful and attentive. Poor:
1.) Our room and the total ship, for that matter, is very "tired". We actually traveled on the Infinity in 2004 and don't believe any updates have been made since then (dramatization on my part). The crew we talked to stated a retro is due in October, but that didn't help us for now. Every passenger we spoke to about the ship stated the same thing, ship needs help.

We chose this cruise for the ports. We wanted to see a Dubai and Petra. In my opinion, the ship was in pretty good shape. Yes, it needs paint in a few areas, but it is due for a refurbish anyway. We have sailed Celebrity a lot and this is one of their poorer efforts. Even when we sailed Infinity a couple of years ago, it was better. The sad thing is that I don’t think they realize how their niggling little economies and deteriorating customer service are taking the Celebrity experience from “Celebrity” to “No name.”
