I selected this cruise because my friends were already booked on it. This was a mistake because the ship was much much larger than I expected- I should have researched the ship more carefully. I hated the fact that we needed to use the lifts to get from floor to floor. This made me feel as though I was in a hotel. I hated the large Oceanview Restaurant where there was so much food on offer! I ...
We chose this cruise ship as it is rated as a higher end cruise line for its size. We also picked it for the port stops and in particular St. Petersburg. We were disappointed in the way in which the cruise line handled the disappointment of not going into St. Petersburg due to weather. The crew tried their hardest and did a good job to make the best of the situation. The cruise line however ...
This is our 4th cruise, but the largest ship we have been on. It was too big for us, and we will go smaller next time. The food was very good as was our stateroom. And the staff were very friendly with the exception of some of the reception staff. The central atrium was very impressive, but it did mean that music and activities invaded the library, hideaway, etc. In fact it was difficult to find ...
First time to do a Baltic Cruise and visit St Petersburg unfortunately didn’t get to see it due to weather conditions. Booked this cruise last year because of the itinerary. The cruise was excellent with visits to countries which had lots to see . Have cruised with Celebrity previously and have always had excellent service . Food and beverages always to a high standard. Staff provide a ...
We chose the cruise firstly because of the itinerary and secondly on recommendation.
We had only cruised once before - on P&O Britannia to the norwegian fjords. Our interest in cruises is to go to places that we would be unlikely to go to any other way. So the Baltics was ideal with the highlight being St Petersburg.
Embarkation and disembarkation was great. We had stayed at Chilworth Manor ...
Our first cruise with Celebrity and most definitely our last.
Embarkation was excellent. We were through check in and on the boat having lunch in about 20 minutes. I agree with another reviewer about the printing of the sea passes - it was very poor quality and by the second day had rubbed out almost completely. We had to get a sticker put on so that the bar staff knew we had a drinks package. ...
We enjoyed all the excursions on this cruise. All well organised and enjoyable. However the highlight of the cruise and the main reason for choosing this cruise was the trip to St Petersburg so we were extremely disappointed when the ship was unable to get to the port due to high winds. We spent 2 1/2 days anchored at sea with horrible weather. The staff did their best to keep us entertained, ...
The main reason for choosing this cruise was to visit St Petersberg so extremely disappointed to be advised that the ship could not get into port due to the high winds. The ship then spent 2 days anchored outside of the narrow channel waiting for the weather to improve. It was very frustrating to see larger P & O ships leaving the post without issue. Our main complaint is that a warning should be ...
A Celebrity Failure
First I'd like to State I'm an extremely humble person I give thanks that I am in the position to be able to save up and bring my family on cruises.
I have completed over 30+ cruises mainly with rccl/ccl and hold Elite+ status.
We had booked this holiday as a celebration for the birth of our baby boy in September 2017. With a view to him enjoying a wide variety of ...
For my wife and I, this was our fourth cruise with Celebrity. The last time was in February 2018 on the Solstice, in Australia/New Zealand. We have also been on the Solstice before and also the Eclipse, so being on the Silhouette, a sister ship, the layout was very familiar. However there are a few quirks with this ship in comparison to the others and this time a few niggles which we hope ...
