Over the years we have been on quite a few cruises. We have done the following as far as I recall.
(Royal Caribbean) Vision of the seas, Jewel of the seas. Independence of the seas. Adventure of the seas.
(Princess cruises) Grand Princess. (P&O) Britannia 4 times, Azura. (Cunard) Queen Elizabeth 2 times.
This time we thought we would try Celebrity Silhouette to see what it was like. A 3 ...
We chose this cruise because we had never been to Amsterdam.
But, should also mention that we are regular cruisers with celebrity and love them.
The checking in procedure was quick and painless as normal. However, we noticed the normal age demographic for celebrity cruises was a lot younger than we normally see.
I should also say that we are young at heart and have no problem with people ...
We have been on celebrity solstice ships many times. But over the las5 three years azamara and princess. We took relatives to get a taste of crushing to see if they wanted a longer cruise.
Embarkation very good as was disembarkation.
Room on deck 9 very clean but showing wear, safe cracked on outside so 8 cut my finger on this, sofa looked worn and outside table had clumps of what looked ...
I booked this cruise as part of my quest to experience as many different cruise lines as possible and this was my first Celebrity cruise ...... it most certainly will not be my last.
I have to admit it did not start well with, what I thought was a very chaotic check-in process, with lots of unnecessary queuing. I much prefer the system where you are allocated a boarding group number and you are ...
Having cruised with Celebrity many times we are Captains Club Elite members. We have always found them to be the best cruise line having cruised with Cunard, Royal Carribean, and P&O. The staff were unhelpful and sometimes rude. The perks we were entitled to were usually waiting inside your cabin for you, but this time you had to ask for them if you wanted them. Needless to say Celebrity obviously ...
OVERVIEW
My husband and I are a 50'ish couple who are not regular cruisers. I have always wanted to see the Norwegian Fjords, and when i saw a good sale with 2 perks last fall, i jumped!
We were originally booked in a standard veranda cabin but about 10 days before we sailed, we received an email offering us to bid on moving up to Aqua class. I bid $10 (per-person) over the minimum, and we ...
Overall I thought this was the greatest cruise. The staff and crew were great, the cruise director was great, Sue Denning was outstanding. We were on SS Ocean Breeze, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian. This ship was the best. The food was good, and the waiters were great. The shore excursions that we picked were great, but as soon as you get aboard head to the Shore Excursions Desk, shore ...
We’ve tried quite a few cruise lines and had heard that Celebrity were excellent so thought we’d give them a go as they were doing the Norwegian Fjords, which we wanted to see as our next cruise.
Checking in was fine and our balcony cabin was lovely and clean and had a nice big bathroom/shower. Out cabin steward Anthony was lovely.
There were no major complaints as such, just lots of little ...
We have mainly gone on Cunard so we thought we would try another Line just to compare.
Well we weren't disappointed it was superb.
Although the journey down seamed to go on forever we were welcomed onboard with a much appreciated glass of Champers.
The lifeboat drill was a bit silly, its done using a cartoon film!
Our balcony cabin was better than we expected it was loverly.
What ...
Sailed on the Silhouette to the Norwegian fjords on 27/4/19 on a 7night cruise from Southampton. We last sailed on this ship in 2013 on a Mediterranean which we enjoyed. We also had a enjoyable trip to Norway but one big problem is that this is designed for warmer climates when people can sit on balconies.. When the ship is in colder waters in April /May people are unable to sit outside on ...
