"We did meet some wonderful people and had a good time, so that was a plus, i just was expecting more from Celebrity, many others on the ship were saying that this was not normal Celebrity and some first time cruisers on Celebrity said they wouldn't cruise with them again. Most of the staff were great and tried to make up for the tired ship, but some were just not interested...."Read More
The majority of our past cruises have been with Royal Caribbean (RCI) and we have been happy with RCI but we wanted to try something different so we traded up to Celebrity and booked a cruise on Celebrity Infinity for March 2024. Not worth it. The only advantage over RCI that we could see was a larger shower. The food was in no way better than our RCI cruises in fact the Celebrity menu and buffet ...
Firstly let me say that I read over 100 reviews of Infinity before the cruise. The average score, below 3 out of 5 with many scoring it 1, made it difficult to predict how enjoyable this cruise would be.
This was my first Celebrity cruise although my wife & daughter sailed on Equinox about 12 yrs ago.
For us the biggest plusses on this cruise were the staff, the entertainment & the ...
Loved this cruise. Certainly helped by great weather and low price but also had very interesting ports of call of Thessaloniki (where we overnighted, and especially enjoyed), Kusadasi, Limassol, Rhodes and Heraklion. I've reviewed all of these in the relevant Ports of Call sections). Ship itself looking good after a refit, staff very cheerful and helpful, and food variable but generally good ...
We ended up booking this cruise because the opportunity to travel to Barcelona, other parts of Spain and also Casablanca was very appealing. We were also looking for a cruise at this time of year and this was the most interesting itinerary we could find.
In our opinion Celebrity lived up to its billing as a premier cruise line. The service we received was excellent. We enjoyed the dining ...
We chose infinity after traveling on solstice and we're very impressed. Sadly the infinity is no where near the same class. It is shabby and much of the decks are rusty.
The food in main dining room can only be described as school dinner type food. Very little choice and basic . The entertainment in bars is again very basic with little audience engagement.
The staff work very hard but ...
I am an experienced traveler and had some Marriott vacation club points to use or lose so booked this ten night trip from Barcelona to the Canary Islands and Morocco. Neither of those destinations were worthwhile. Cádiz was interesting. Celebrity is no different than RC or Norwegian. Same tawdry shops, casino, silly activities, mediocre food, staff who fake that they like their jobs. The cruise ...
We've previously had nothing but great experiences on our prior two cruises with Celebrity. So, we were excited for an opportunity to visit the Canary Islands, Morocco, and Cadiz onboard the Celebrity Infinity. We went in with the understanding that Infinity is older than the other ships we've cruised on with Celebrity. However, I was not prepared for our stateroom experience that was literally ...
As title took 2 1/2 hours to get though customs, and this is not the first time, so I will never cruise on any ship from Barcelona again. Going the other way trying to get out of Barcelona wasn't much better only took 1 1/2 hours so be carful. The ship great I like that size of ship 2500 / 3500 people is big enough for us, cabin first time very close to lifts never heard a thing. Fastest we have ...
Our family cruise over the festive season had had to be cancelled three times because of the tragic pandemic. The cruise was probably the last occasion we could get our immediate family of three generations together for an extended vacation so there was much excitement when we finally set foot on board after all the disappointments over the previous three years.
We nevertheless approached ...
We came back yesterday having spent a couple of days in Barcelona and then a 12-night cruise on the Celebrity Infinity sailing to Lanzarote, Tenerife, La Palma, Casablanca, Tangier, Cadiz, Valencia, Barcelona. The Infinity is the very first ship we ever sailed on, and now with many cruises under our belts, we were looking forward to seeing her again. Last time we had a standard balcony stateroom ...
