We were on the EDGE of Glory (can’t get that song out of my head)

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Celebrity Edge

We sailed on the Celebrity Edge last week! First time on the Edge, but we’ve sailed on Celebrity Summit and Equinox. We love Celebrity! DH and I are in our mid 50’s and love the Caribbean itineraries. We picked this one because it had a stop in Tortola which we have never been to and the Virgin Gorda Baths have been on my husband’s list of things to see for a long time. We booked it during the ...

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

We joined up with friends whom we met on a prior cruise for this post-holiday getaway. This was our 4th sailing on the Reflection, so we know her pretty well. The ship is still in great shape and the crew is generally well-prepared and attentive. We greatly enjoy Aqua Class for its access to BLU, which just makes for a much more intimate cruise experience. With the exception of 1 meal, we ...

We usually choose Celebrity for our cruises, but will do other lines if a bargain appears. We are Elite and have cruised on the Reflection a couple of times before. She is still in good condition but having recently cruised on Edge, maybe she’s looking a little dated. The cabins are extremely short of storage drawers and shelves and we resorted to using our carry on bag as an extra cupboard. ...

Wonderful modern ship. Like the infinity veranda concept.

Went with my spouse and really enjoyed the new ship. This was out third Celebrity cruise, first on the Edge and probably about 7th or 8th trip on any line. Check-in was a breeze but traffic in the port was probably about fifteen minutes once you turned off the main road. We got stuck behind someone at the guard shack who forgot their license and they had to call over a trooper to verify the ...

We have been on many Royal and Celebrity cruises. We hadn’t really planned it, but when our friend let us know they had found a decent price on the new Edge, we were intrigued. We registered and checked in on line, arrived at 11:00 and were at our room in five minutes where our keys were waiting for us, left the carryons, and put our stuff in the safe, and went for lunch. It was suggested to ...

Underwhelmed

We chose this particular ship and sail date, because it was to be the “maiden voyage.” Turns out the MV was for certain VIPs and travel agents and companies. I wanted to see the confetti, champagne and hear the ships whistle. You know, like you see in the movies! I did enjoy the staff in our particular dining room- the waiter, assistant waiter and adult beverage server. The sommelier ...

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Celebrity Equinox

After being in dry dock, it appears that Celebrity is transforming cruising into a two tier system. They "transformed" the upper sunning deck into the retreat, restricted to suite guests. On our cruise several times I went up to see how much use it was getting and found it to be sparsely used. This makes the public area of the pool decks more crowded since those cruisers apparently wanted to be ...

We are a couple who has been cruising since 1984 on various lines but mostly Celebrity. Our first sailing (that my husband didn’t want to try) was a prize I won for a real estate sales contest. We went and were immediately addicted even though weather was rainy and the ship was basic. There is lots of talk on these boards about reduced amenities and lowering of standards and l’ll give my 2 ...

A Type 2 Diabetic's View of the Equinox

I am a 58 year old Type 2 insulin dependent diabetic and this trip report is specifically about my experience as a diabetic on my recent cruise on the Celebrity Equinox. This was my first Celebrity cruise, I’ve cruised with Carnival, RCCI and NCL. We(DH63, DD21, myself) were on Deck 9 in a mid-ship balcony cabin(not Aqua or suite). I brought my own travel sharps container but I believe you ...

We have sailed both Celebrity and Equinox in particular several times before, this cruise, by far, was the most disappointing. The staff was completely I'll-prepared in ALL areas! They were slow ( we waited 40 minutes for breakfast), bars were understaffed (the bars were backed up), staff was uninformed (couldn't give direction), staff was rude! (Each time we mentioned something that was ...
