My wife and I have sailed on Solstice Class before and decided to see if the Edge was all that Celebrity said she was, despite a lot of negative comments / reviews by those that had sailed on her.
I like to keep things short and to the point to here goes:
PROs:
We sailed in a Sky Suite. Love our cabin with the bed facing the water. Our stateroom attendant, Benedict was fantastic. The ...
Wrote this mainly for the cabin review, see below. We were more than pleased with the Edge - great job, Celebrity!
General "stuff":
>Sinks for handwashing are present at entrances to the buffet, but many people ignore them. Hand sanitizer is available everywhere in public places...again, often ignored. Many food stations, all excellent and could eat there at any meal and have just as good ...
We chose this cruise because of the date and the ship. The food in the main dining room was the one of the best in 15 cruises on various lines. We booked a 3 night specialty dining option but in retrospect would not do it again. Two of the restaurants, Tuscan and Suishi on Five did not have the ambience I expected. Le Petit’s animated entertainment was a fun experience and the food was great ...
We keep coming back to the Celebrity Equinox to celebrate special events and also to enjoy the ship amenities that suit our needs. Pleasant staff, great configuration of the ship, great food and excellent service. It is our fifth cruise with the Equinox in Aqua Class. We love the restaurant *Blu* dedicated to the Aqua Class guests. The food that is served is well balanced with very good ...
We wanted to try a new modern ship . We love Celebrity this was our fourth cruise with Celebrity. This ship will probably not appeal to everyone. Very techy you benefit from an I phone, interesting features and once you learn a little bit how things work a lot of pluses you can communicate with other friends on the ship using your I phone.
We were in concierge class we wanted a smooth ...
Celebrity, Celebrity, Celebrity.. You touted this ship as the coming of the Lord. Where do I begin? First off, I love most of Celebrity ships and have sailed on most of them. Celebrity sell,s cruise,s because of there reputation of having fantastic food.. So let's start with that. The food was great, no issue's at all. The main issue was going to 4 places to eat every night, unless you bought the ...
This is definitely high-end cruise on a very expensive ship. Overall experience is very positive but I guess taste differ...
Pros:
- Ship appearance and futures
- Very good basic food both in cafeteria and assigned dining.
- Fantastic Vegas quality entertainment, state of the art theater
- A very professional crew, with captain Kate is a true celebrity and outstanding person
- ...
We booked a Costco Kirkland Signature Culinary cruise on the Celebrity Edge. We booked in a year in advance after hearing about how wonderful the Edge was. The ship did not disappoint. Our cabin, with the innovative, balcony was the best cabin we have ever had (17 cruises total) and the bathroom was also the best/biggest. We loved the Infinite Balcony! The glass could go down; you could close ...
I would consider myself a mid-term cruise approximately 20 cruises. The 2 lines of choice for us are Princess and Celebrity; however, we have done all the major cruise lines out of Ft. Lauderdale and Miami. We take my 80+ year old parents and in-laws on a yearly cruise so I also like to give insights for that age range as well the complexities associated with traveling with some mobility issues. ...
We wanted to try the Celebrity Edge. This was our fourth Celebrity cruise. There are many aspects of the ship we truly enjoyed; however, they were other parts of the cruise we felt were not up to prior Celebrity standard.
Cabin: The cabin was beautiful and well appointed. We had a balcony cabin and we enjoyed the enclosed style balcony on the Edge. I am sure it will not be to everyone’s ...
