A lot of things can be improved but overall a great ship! The steak house was awful FYI. IV ROOMS are not cracked out to what they make them as you seem your in a bubble without the air. Sometimes they do lock them which I get but lame. Entertainment could have been better with more activities. Service at pool was not the greatest with people walking around and the bar. Lot of wasted space. Feels ...
The ship was beautiful and we loved the restaurants and the decor as well as the service was top notch. I have been and stay a large number a great places but I am not sure I have ever received better customer service. Everyone was very friendly and they were always willing to go the extra mile. Everything was very clean and workers were always busy "polishing the brass". I would not hesitate ...
We booked our IV cabin when it was still in blueprints... and were excited to try such a stunningly beautiful and unique ship. Celebrity has taken a big chance and I hope they succeed. We are a couple in our 60s, and have been cruising with Celebrity and RCI and Carnival about twice a year for the past five.
Things we loved:
It's a beautiful ship. A feast for the senses. Art and design ...
We are loyal to Celebrity, have been on 17 long cruises and until this one have always been happy with Celebrity. Our air arrangements (Choice Air) booked directly with Celebrity were a nightmare. What should have been no more than 4 or 5 hours turned out to be closer to 14 hours. If it had been weather related we would have accepted it but when we booked the air we were not given a choice of ...
I booked this cruise because it was new, modern, and innovative. Fact, I cancelled our Symphony of the Seas reservation for the Edge because of the attractive advertisements I saw. It looked so fresh and impressive. What I was hoping for was a higher level of cruising with less crowds and a more "new school" approach to cruising. You have no idea how excited and overly anticipated I was to ...
We have sailed on 5 Celebrity cruises, Equinox, Eclipse twice on Reflection and first time on Silhouette. We love Celebrity for the low key, kick back relaxing atmosphere. we are 55 and 62 years old. So not young and not ancient. Celebrity really does treat guest with respect. (except maybe Guest Relations, they need to work on this) We choose Celebrity mainly for the duration and ports. plus ...
My husband (John) and I recently took our son, daughter-in-law and (most importantly!) our two granddaughters on the Celebrity Edge. We booked an Infinite Veranda for our son and DIL and kept the girls (aged 7 and 9) with us in a lowly Panoramic Ocean View stateroom (we spoil our son and DIL and wanted to spend time with the girls). We were concerned about the new ship since we primarily sail on ...
We've loved Celebrity since our first sailing eight years ago so we were excited when they announced the first new build to the fleet in a number of years.
Good: Embarkation and debarkation were the quickest and most efficient we've experienced in our 20+ sailings. The main dining restaurant variety was good, food and service was good. Nice decor although the modern feel does not lend itself ...
We chose this cruise for the ports and excursions and were not disappointed. Our favourite excursions were the yacht racing on St Maarten and the catamaran and snorkelling on Grenada. Harrison caves on Barbados and the bus excursions to the Pitons on St Lucia were also very interesting but the bus rides were exceptionally long and tiring.
The staff on board were exceptional, always looking to ...
Post cruise thoughts. We booked this cruise because we loved the Celebrity
Equinox and were told this is the sister ship and exactly the same. It is mostly the same but some important differences. No bar in the back of the ship on deck 14. A underutilized Master Celler wine area and just not the service level we expected. While we enjoyed our cruise I was disappointed with Celebrity in many ...
