Smallest ship we’ve been on but it surpassed our expectations. Felt modern, clean and was actually really nice and we had a great 5 days. The food was fantastic, in the dining room and the buffet. The pool area was nice besides the usual annoying people who ‘reserve’ their sunbed and use them for half an hour the whole day!!! The staff do nothing.
Our cabin was interior and very big. Really ...
My wife & I have been cruising since the very early 1970s (M/S Boheme was first) .. we have done 40 or so on Carnival but left when it became so droopy pants and rotten loud music. Transitioned to 32 or so on Princess but were saddened to see our Elite category being diluted with the loss of complimentary benefits we had enjoyed in that category. Transitioned to Celebrity. Cruising has been very ...
This was the worst cruise we’ve ever been on. Food was awful and inedible. Absolutely horrible with no flavor. There wasn’t even a dessert that was good. I don’t know how you mess up cake. It was like eating a pile of sand. The apples in the apple tart tasted like chemicals. I hardly ate anything all week. Only one restaurant that’s included.
Our bathroom had a constant puddle on the floor ...
We had been on 15 cruises with Royal Caribbean and decided to give Celebrity a try. We were expecting it to be a step up and it was, but not in all areas.
We knew the Equinox was an older ship that had been refurbished, so that was no surprise. The exterior of the ship showed some age, but the interior didn't look dated. The furnishings were a bit nicer than on the Royal ships. Our cabin ...
This was our 6th cruise with Celebrity. We are in our eighties and have cruised 19 times. This was a cruise to the Dutch Islands of the Caribbean. As usual we made use of an outstanding cruise consultant with Expedia Cruises.
All the necessary information is on the Celebrity web site. The Celebrity App is really needed to avoid confusion. However, in our case, going cruising is ...
The Good -
This is a smaller ship so slightly more personal touch than the larger ships and you will meet the same people and recognize faces fairly quickly. The facilities on board are fairly limited compared to the more modern larger ships but none the less still very good.
The restaurants in particular Luminae for suite guests were very good - slightly limited standard menu but the food ...
I am amazed to see some of the negative reviews written regarding this cruise! I can hardly comprehend we were on the same ship at the same time. I therefore had to write a review even though I don’t usually do so. We had the most incredible cruise. We have been cruising over 20 years with a variety of different cruise lines and Celebrity are by far our favourite. We ate at Blu. The staff were ...
Just got off the Celebrity Equinox (10 day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale to Aruba, Grand Cayman, and Curacao) and thought I would post my review while everything was still fresh!
We did the Retreat Class (Celebrity Suite) which was remarkable and in our opinion worth the extra price.
The service on this ship is another level. Every single staff member seemed to want to make your cruise ...
We have only sailed with Celebrity Cruises (6 in the last 10 years). It’s sad to see that post-Covid, despite investing in refurbishing their ships, they’ve taken away some of the things that made it a 5-star experience.
No longer are you greeted with champagne or a mimosa on entry. In AquaClass rooms, no more daily tea, fruit or canapés. I’m told that’s for concierge class now but AquaClass ...
Over 20 cruises with Celebrity.
No typical champaign greeting...No playing cards at the concierge. No invitations to anything.
The maitre de went far beyond the call of duty, as did the waiters...but all their fine service couldn't help the flavorless food and lack of choices.
The entertainment in the bars and lobby areas were tolerable, but the stage performances were lackluster. The ...
