While looking for a way to escape the last of winter up here in northern Canada, we chose this 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise. The ships public areas are beautiful. Restaurants are pleasing, and the stateroom beds in short, are fabulous.
Getting to the port from LAX, be advised as of sailing (April 8/23) the airport has changed where you get taxis, shuttles, Lyft or Ubers. Just be aware of ...
Needed a short get away.
We took my wife's daughters.
Liked how you go through the check n process - very smooth.
Life boat drill - watch the video and go to your muster station to check in.
Key west was nice - lots of walking as I got turned around a few times looking for places.
There are a lot of bars are there and Hemingway seemed to go to every one of them.
Hemingway house ...
Took the 10 day Caribbean cruise leaving Tampa on April 7, 2023.
Pros: Embarkation port of Tampa - a 1 1/2 hour drive from our home. Smaller ship, easier to navigate for one of us with mobility issues. Pleasant staff throughout. Clean concierge balcony stateroom that seemed updated in some respects (not others), unlike some previous reviews - no torn curtains or shower curtains. Bathroom ...
We took this cruise as the second part of our b2b.
We are happy for X and normally do cruises of 7+days. So this is the first short cruise we have sailed.
The vibe and guests changed drastically from what we are used to. Our 10-days sailing was different, younger guests and families.
But on this cruise, WOW….. it was not the celebrity guests we are used to.
So many families and ...
Just returned from 9 nights on the Equinox with stops in Grand Cayman and the ABC’s. This was probably the best cruise we've taken! Just fantastic all around. We’ve been on 5 cruises since the pandemic but none on Celebrity because the prices were out of line compared to other cruises. I kept watching though and found a great price right before Black Friday. We did book one of the large ...
This cruise line gets the award for the best nickel and diming their passengers. Let’s start with the fact that you need to buy a beverage package (there is even one for water). we bought the classic for our two nieces and the premium for us. Turns out we had to upgrade the nieces from classic to premium because ice tea and cokes were not on the classic menu. One niece went to the spa and ...
Every cruise is different as it depends on the weather, itinerary, passengers, crew, etc. So when I review a cruise, I do try to focus on things that should be similar for all guests on all cruises. To be fully transparent, I was a little nervous about taking this cruise as I had heard that "weekend cruises" were a bit rowdy and I had not enjoyed my only prior experience on Celebrity. Luckily, ...
Booked this California Coastal to proceed our Mexican Riviera cruise. Package included classic drink, internet, and paid gratuity.
What happened to luxury included? Embarkation had porta potties and double bussing to get to ship.
Lobster dinner is limited to one lobster or pay $16 for additional. Breakfast in your stateroom is $11 if you want any egg , bacon or cheese platter. ...
Let me start by saying…we desperately needed a vacation…and cruising is our favorite type of vacation.
In the end, the vacation was a success!
We got the rest and relaxation we needed after 4 years of not going anywhere. We were sad to leave at the end – and this is the whole point of a successful vacation.
I would like to give a review of the various experiences on this ship.
I ...
Concierge at michael's club was awesome. The food and service at Luminae were off the charts. The Panama canal transit tour was great. Cartagena was a beautiful place and loved it. Porto Limone is a dump and waste of a day. Usually like Cozumel but with 7 ships in port it was like times square. Crew were great, very little wait for drinks etc. The only waiting time was for a burger at the pool ...
