My wife and I (mid-50's) did the 10 night Quito and Flora Inner Loop with our two adult children (19, 22). Overall this was a great experience except for covid which I will save for the last paragraph for those of you cruising during covid (hopefully limited to just the rest of 2022). I have tried to provide info here that I wish I had known prior to sailing (so my apologies if it is ...

To be honest, as a 14-year-old boy, I was expecting lots of boring walks, hours of looking at boring fish, and lots of old people. I was completely wrong, on the second day, there was so much to explore, new animals, new terrains, and overall new culture. This was a completely different environment, from places like Hawaii. The animals had grown up with very few natural predators so when a human ...

The Galapagos is best described as a place that you can’t truly describe, only experience. Celebrity Flora is incredible with a team of naturalists, who are employed by both the cruise and the national park. Essentially, these people know what they’re talking about. The naturalists lead walks, kayaking and snorkeling voyages around the island, giving great insight about all the amazing animals ...

We booked the 7 night Galapagos Outer Loop cruise with the extra nights in Quito. From the minute we stepped off the aircraft in Quito we were given the VIP treatment from Celebrity. We had a private luxury transfer to the beautiful JW Marriott where we were met by more Celebrity staff and given a COVID test. The rooms at the Marriott are large and beautiful and the breakfasts are exceptional. ...

The whole Celebrity Flora Galapagos experience was superb, from pick-up at the Quito airport to drop-off at the end and everything onboard the ship (except swallowing sea water and getting the runs from the plankton but the doctor took great care of me). One of our best vacations ever. We did back-to-back sailings to get both itineraries, first outer, then the inner loop. The outer loop was ...

You should be aware that Celebrity Flora is unlike any other Celebrity cruise. It is an ultra-luxury, all inclusive, location specific expedition ship. What does that mean? Incredible service, incredible food, incredible included shore excursions and tours (they even provided us with wet suits for our comfort while snorkeling!) and all sorts of options. We also enjoyed two nights at the lovely ...

This was a heck of a trip. We have decided it was the best we have ever taken. On the final night on board Captain Patricio (one of the nicest guys you will ever meet) talked for a few minutes about how he feels about the Galapagos. He said that (paraphrasing here) that “the Galapagos should be the model for the rest of the earth. A place where every animal and bird has learned to live together. ...

Great Crew and Staff, Beautiful Ship...some glitches to work out

My spouse has always wanted to go to the Galapagos. She wanted to see the unspoiled islands, tortoises, sea lions, penguins,..etc. A high school teacher of hers had gone to the Galapagos and rhapsodized about it, and made lasting impression. We've traveled extensively for work and pleasure around the world. My preference is not cruising - preferring to take a a couple of weeks in country ...

It has been our dream to cruise the Galapagos for almost 30 years, and we were finally able to go! We chose Celebrity Flora over the Expedition really only because it left on a Sunday, but we are really glad we made that decision, since at the time of our sailing, the Expedition had not yet returned to the Galapagos from its repairs. We did not do the Quito extension, mostly because of the fear of ...
