We are experienced Celebrity cruisers and have sailed with them many times. We chose this itinery because of the ports that were scheduled to be visited by the Constellation. The ship is a Millennium class ship and we have sailed on it twice before.
Embarkation was relatively straightforward in Civitavecchia, and because of the time we arrived at, around lunchtime, we got to our balcony cabin ...
Pre-cruise: As twice before, we had reserved a room with a package at the Hotel San Giorgio in Civitavecchia. In addition to the room, the package included a shuttle service from Funcimo Airport, Rome and to the Hotel, a good three course dinner at their nice restaurant “Bistro 34”, breakfast next day, and after breakfast – shuttle to the port.
Embarkation: Went very smoothly.
We have ...
We had back to back, 12 day cruises from Barcelona (October 5 and October 17) - first the western Med. and then the eastern Med. - for a total of 24 days. These were our 11th and 12th cruises since we started cruising in 2010. We've had 5 total on Celebrity.
We selected the cruises based on the ports and that we had sailed the Eclipse for 14 days in the Caribbean earlier in the year with ...

The itinerary was the main draw for me. That is why I was so disappointed the we missed Rhodes. I realize w a man overboard situation compromises are necessary , but offering a second tour AT NIGHT with nothing opened an limited lighting was not really adequate ( and they threw in a dinner at a Rhodes restaurant for more than the original tour) Obviously it was done to fulfil the obligation of ...

Love it.. but...but.. there is just one big thing that gnaws on me daily.
The Guy in charge of movies, sports etc. on tv.

Classic Drinks Package-to 9$ a drink- except not highlighted you pay in full if the included drinks are from cabin mini bar or served with food in cabin, & you pay in full for $5/6 fruit & smoothies drinks from the Spa Bar. It's either a drinks package or it isn't, & it isn't. A rip off.
Horrendous loud screaming music in the buffet restaurant - turn it OFF! This is not a pleasant dining ...
Celebrity Silhouette is the most unstable vessel I have ever sailed upon, and I have sailed many ships from many cruise lines around many parts of the globe. She lurched from side to side and front to rear for the entire two weeks. Two weeks of bouncing off the corridor walks despite calm seas. Spoilt the holiday really. By the end of the two weeks the number of passengers seen with arms, wrists ...
Have always wanted to do a cruise to Israel and this one gave us 3 days to explore.
took the Celebrity transfer from the airport to the port, bus was old and a bit hot and stuffy. Did not like the port of Civitaveccihia, embarkation was in a tent. Your passport is taken away and given back to you on board when you need it for any excursions you have booked. It is a security requirement by ...
