A generalized impression

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

We chose this company as we hoped to get everything at level 5*. But unfortunately, our hopes were not realized. In the future, we are unlikely to choose a cruise with this company. Pros: the ship is new, beautiful, and comfortable. The cabins are spacious. Staff is well prepared. Cleaning of cabins and service in the main dining room at the proper level. Odds: It takes a lot of time to ...

Good time but serious downsides

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

Pros: Great ship, comfortable rooms, very friendly and acccomodating staff. Celebrity does a tremendous job of keeping all areas of the ship clean at all times. Food was quite good in the main dining as well as the buffet. We enjoyed almost all aspects of the onboard experiences. Cons: As is a struggle with most larger capacity ships, they are understaffed at the popular bars during ...

A nice alternative

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Constellation

We chose this cruise as an alternative to the one we had cancelled in the Carribean due to the flights being cancelled because of the Beast from the East. We got as far as Newark but could not get to San Juan. We were delighted with this cruise as we had not sailed in the Adriatic Sea before and were really happy to have done it. The other plus was we flew direct to Barcelona from Edinburgh and ...

Another great cruise on the Eclipse

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

This was our third cruise on the Eclipse and enjoyed it immensely. For some reason the Celebrity product can be different from ship to ship. The Eclipse is our favorite. We arrived in Dublin the day before the cruise and because my wife uses a portable oxygen concentrator, we basically just rested from traveling. We did go to an excellent restaurant, Urban Brewing for dinner. We arrived at the ...

Interesting Ports...Still working out some kinks on transfers and excursions

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

I would recommend this cruise for anyone who likes an adventure...from the ports to the weather, this cruise was unique for us. Highlights - Beautiful scenery and history. - Prebook Guiness tour in Dublin...less expense and saves a lot of time. Great tour...highly recommend. - We really enjoyed the small towns. Akureyri, while small, was easy to get off and walk around. Lerwick, ...

Very satisfied with first cruise on Celebrity

We have been on approximately 25 cruises on maybe 7 different cruise lines, but never on Celebrity before our cruise to Iceland from Dublin. It was the itinerary that attracted us and Dublin and Iceland did not disappoint. Prior to the cruise we were advised not to come to the pier for embarkation until 4:30. we spent the day touring Dublin, and we were lucky enough to have made a ...

A Brilliant Trip to the Baltic

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

6-10 Cruises • Age 60s

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary as it was to ports which we had never visited. The Silhouette is a wonderful ship. My wife is in a wheelchair so we had booked an accessible cabin 6137 - this was twice the size of a 'standard' balcony cabin with an electrically opening cabin door. There was even a ramp to get us over the 'lip' onto the balcony. We were impressed that all the ...

2nd time on Celebrity - great ship and crew

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

We chose this cruise for the Baltics itinerary and especially St. Petersburg, Russia. It was a great trip blessed by unusually warm weather for May and very smooth seas except for one evening. Overall, the ship is big but never felt overwhelming or crowded, except in the Oceanview cafe for breakfasts and day-at-sea lunches. There is plenty to do and places to relax and get away from the crowds ...

Celebrity seemingly not what they were

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

We chose A Celebrity cruise as everyone said they are very good. But having spoken to people (guests and staff) on-board, it is clear that standards have slipped in recent years, The most disappointing thing was the food ... if you want a steak, you have to pay a high price for it in one of the speciality dining rooms. The daily New York sirloin on the menu in the main dining room was a ...

Cut-backs

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

Having cruised enjoyably on 2 other Celebrity ships we didn’t expect to be SO disappointed with our trip around the Baltic on Silhouette. We assume some of our observations are due to cut-back - if they are not then RCC should be ashamed of themselves. Inside cabin was spacious and we even didn’t mind the noise of the service lift behind our headboard. Our cabin steward was wonderful and ...
