We chose this cruise to fill a dream of visiting St Petersburg. We boarded the ship on 23rd June for this 14 night cruise. Embarkation went very quickly and we had lunch in the Ocean View Cafe while waiting for our cabin to be ready. The itinerary was good calling in at Zeebrugge for Bruges, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Tallinn, St Petersburg and Warnemunde for Berlin. Facilities on board were ...
This was our second cruise with celebrity and we chose this itinerary as we only wanted to stay in SPB for one night and liked the idea of an overnight in Stockholm.
Getting on at Southampton was so quick and easy, all in all took about 20 mins.
The ship is beautiful, well appointed and clean. Our stateroom attendant (Dora) was amazing and very responsive. As was our concierge.
We met ...
The trip to Russia was a bucket list goal, the cruise started fine but then on reaching the st Petersburg channel, the captain announced and act of good or: wind prevented this vessel from entering Russia. In question and answers this has happened previously and als a smaller vessel would have got in. So begs a question as to whether celebrity are all about size! And income.
The cruise is ...
1st time for a cruise, started well at Southampton. Really easy parking at dock and very smooth transition through customs to the ship. But very disappointed due to being unable to dock in St Petersburg which was the purpose on the cruise. For me this became a slight waste of money. Cause was due to cross winds and the size of the celebrity silhouette it was unable to dock so I would suggest a ...
Chose the trip as it was going to St Petersburg. Once in a lifetime chance for me.
Sadly we were bitterly disappointed when the ship was unable to enter the harbour.
If it's known (as it was as this has happened before) why take such a large ship? Why wasn't this chance of being turned away mentioned in any literature? Why not have alternative destination on standbye?
The ship continued ...
We enjoyed our 1st cruise with Celebrity cruise and wanted to visit Russia for our 44th Anniversary for 2nd time with Celebrity.
We enjoyed the cruise again. The service we received by Valentine in the dinning room was excellent and memorable. He has been very polite, helpful and make an effort to accommodate his guests. He respected our choice and remembers each night our likes and dislikes. ...
We sailed from Amsterdamin in June and the itinerary was one of the most interesting we have done. This is our 5th cruise on Celebrity and our 14th cruise overall. As usual, the ship, the crew and the food and entertainment were all excellent.
We were part of a large group and our travel agent had arranged for private tours in all ports except for Germany and Holland. We couldn’t have asked ...
All the cruises i did with Celibrity are exellent. Friendly service *****. In one word "TOP" experiance. I recommand Celebrity to everybody.
Entertainment : Some shows i already saw in other ships, but it's nice to see them again.
Cabine : clean and great service 10/10 (Dominic).
Dining room : proffessional and friendly service(Table 219) from Paul, Arnel and Gally. ...
The good, the bad and the ugly.
The good
Service in the dining room and the food were excellent.
The bad
We complained about the torn linen and holes in the curtains - attached please see the generic response from the hotel manager - the linen and curtains were immediately replaced BUT the new curtains had even more holes and the linen was once again torn.
The ugly
When I ...
A Baltic cruise was on our bucket list. The price was right this year, and we chose Celebrity, our favorite cruiseline, to take us there on a 12- night itinerary from Amsterdam. The weather started out cool and drizzly, but after four days we had long glorious sunny and warm days.
We are a mid-60’s couple from Toronto, and sailed on the S-class ships several times, so we knew what to expect. ...
