CELEBRITY CONSTELLATION – NOT A 5 STAR SHIP
We have just returned from a 14n (back to back) cruise on the Celebrity Constellation. We have been great fans of the Celebrity product in the past and have been on Constellation before, but both the ship and some of the staff, are in need of a serious shake-up. Torn and tatty bed linen, bathrooms with rust and filthy, stained tiling, grey torn deck ...
We hadn't been on Connie since she was doing Caribbean cruises. We enjoyed the updates though it was a strange cruise to us. We enjoy the port intensive itineraries in Europe. Montenegro is a must return destination. Our experience with the crew is greatly improved from what we remembered. Only issue was that guests were permitted to skip the hand sanitizer when entering the buffet. Seems ...
We had never before sailed with Celebrity but have done so with several other cruise lines. Our Jet Set Sail package was attractively priced and enticed us to book. The outward flight was good and there was a smooth transfer to the ship. Constellation was what we expected it to be, clean with good food, and polite staff.
The ports of call were good choices but the shore excursion prices were ...
I chose this specific cruise for the itinerary, and chose this line because I've cruised on Celebrity before and it was wonderful. There are similar cruises for much less, but I decided to go with Celebrity due to our previous experience. I do not drink alcohol and was forced to buy a "water" package, as the water in our room, and at the buffet was brown. The service was about the worst I've ...
Was told good value for money how wrong ,on arrival herded into cattle shed total chaos ,herds of unsupervised children running around ship ,rip off shore exscursions ,food in fine dining well below par ,tried to squeeze every extra dollar out of you , made up charges which had to spend time to get reimbursed, entertainment seen better at holiday camps ,senior staff admonishing general staff in ...
We picked it because of the itinerary and the ship looked like a good fit for a couple with older teens. We were very impressed with the ship, ports, and service. (this was the Italy/Greece cruise). The ship is very modern and clean. The food was great, especially Luminae. Le Petite Chef was fun too (and we also enjoyed the Tuscan Grill and the Lawn Club). I loved everything about this ...
We chose this cruise as we have always wanted to visit the Greek islands and this did not disappoint. It's only our 2nd Celebrity cruise and we enjoyed out trip very much . The crew were all very attentive and responsive to any requests we had and the quality of food was very high with great selections in the restaurants we used. We did not use any of the speciality restauarants as we felt we were ...
Have previously travelled with Celebrity several times. Always enjoy Celebrity cruiseline because they attract an international crowd. Chose this specific cruise for an Eastern Meditteranean experience. Everything from start to finish went smoothly. The ship including all dining areas was kept clean and tidy. This was a slightly special occasion and we had a suite class stateroom, just felt ...
It was our twenty fifth wedding anniversary and our first cruise so I had some misgivings about it ! I did not need to worry as the staff were fabulous, the food was amazing, our room was gorgeous and Maynard who looked after us was fantastic! Everything was well organised and it was great that security and safety were taken very seriously so we had no issues about leaving the ship or returning to ...
We chose this ship mainly for the itinerary, and we had heard celebrity cruises was one of the best. This was our third cruise and to be honest the worst entertainment out of them all. There was only one band playing everywhere who had a weak singer, and a solo acoustic singer who was a bit depressing! The shows were done by their own team, average. No sail away party or announcements at all. The ...
