Cabin wasn't cleaned when we boarded. Dirty duvet and sheets. Tampon in garbage. Toiletries left behind.. Sunscreen and lotions from Walmart. Awful experience! Not acceptable for Celebrity. Read entire member review >>
We had a problem with our cabin but they rectified it. While trying to sleep, there was a banging outside on the ship. Sounded like a door pounded every few seconds. They knew what it was but couldn't fix it so they moved us. They upgraded us to a veranda, however, it was on the port side and that's were the smokers were. They should get rid of these smoking areas ENTIRELY !! No one should be allowed to smoke on a ship. I got sick from the smoke, just walking near it gave me problems with my sinuses. 7103 is one of the oceanview cabins on the very front of the ship where you have the same view as the bridge. We’d stayed in 8104 on Reflection and liked the view and the fact that these rooms are a bit bigger than the average. We knew that there would be more motion than a midship OV and that doesn’t bother us at all.
7103 is a very noisy room. It overlooks the helipad, which was never used and a crew bar that was. When the bow thrusters are engaged (docking and leaving the dock), the cabin vibrates and the noise level is so high that you can’t carry on a conversation or hear the TV. There is a metal staircase going from the crew bar to a door across the hall from the room which the crew use at all hours of the day and night and they don’t worry about letting the door slam. There is a storage room across the hall which is used all the time and they store junk right outside the room.
The drapes are ‘crunchy’ and the last 2 rollers have been broken so they don’t close properly. There is about 10 feet of open space between the bed and the sitting area, yet there isn’t enough space to get around someone sitting at the desk without going over the bed. Simply centering the bed on the wall would fix this problem.
I’d suggest that you don’t book this cabin, unless it’s the only one available and you aren’t bothered by noise. Read entire member review >>
Excellent! Room enough in the bathroom for a nice shower twice a day. Great bed. So comfortable. Good storage and plenty room under the bed for suitcases. Romantic balcony with wooden deck and frosted glass either side. Nice big tv screen and plenty films on demand. Our cabin was cleaned and refreshed twice daily by the cheerful and helpful Harry. Very nice large cabin. Didn't need to look at TV for view from bridge because that was the view from our window. Felt little motion even though very forward in ship. Did hear bow thrusters from room when docking. Would take this room again. Read entire member review >>
Good size, much bigger than expected. No balcony but this was not a problem as we had a large window which gave us a great view as we sailed into each port. Some noise from the anchor I think, as we came into each port but not really a problem. Loved this cabin. Read entire member review >>
The seventh-level, forward-facing, Ocean View staterooms (Category 7?), are probably ones to be avoided. When docking or undocking the mechanical noise and vibration is horrible. It is unbelievably loud and probably rates a significant score on the Richter Scale, making it difficult to carry on a conversation or even hear the television. It is at the level of the helipad, so the next level up may provide a better view (but when you're at-sea, it probably doesn't make much difference). At least it was quiet after we were docked in port or while we are at sea. Wish we had known about the noise in advance.
The closets don't seem to be as deep as we had on a previous cruise, we had to tuck the clothes we had hanging in order to close the door. Drawer space is limited, but not a problem when also using the suitcases stored under the bed.
The location is at the forward end of the ship so, with respect to traffic and hallway noise, it is nice and quiet. The slanting, forward-facing window makes the cabin larger (or seem larger). It had two chairs but would have been nice if there was a couch and a bigger table to play cards and etc. There certainly is enough room for different furniture. Read entire member review >>
