Outstanding Cruise to South America

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Chose this cruise because it was a Repositioning cruise to S. America. Spent 4 days in Barcelona, exploring the city and enjoying all that it has to offer. Embarkation was quite crowded, but the lines moved smoothly. We had outstanding service on the Eclipse, both cabin attendants and dining staff were attentive and very friendly. Cabins were adequate and were in excellent shape. Our cruise ...

We were traveling with friends and my friend found the cruise. We had traveled on Celebrity before so we decided to go. We were concerned about the number of sea days but that was never a problem. There was plenty to do onboard. The staff was excellent from our room steward, Pablo, to the servers in the dining room and specialty restaurants. The entertainment was the best of any cruise we ...

This was our first cruise to South America. Crossing the Equator to the southern hemisphere is a unique experience. The 16 night itinerary from Barcelona to Buenos Aires included several ports of call we’ve never visited, and the cost was reasonable. We’ve sailed on the Eclipse several times, and were not concerned with getting bored on many days at sea. We arrived in Barcelona after a 2 ...

Wonderful Transatlantic Cruise to Dublin

We chose this cruise because we enjoy Transatlantic crossings and this new itinerary to Dublin really worked for us, as we could then tour Ireland post cruise. We were not disappointed. Everything about this cruise was perfect. The ship was beautiful and all the crew members were friendly and professional. Embarkation was so easy and we were on board and shipping "champagne" in less than ...

Transatlantic cruise. Pros: nice ship, well kept , comfortable cabin. Cons: mediocre food....I feel they really cheapenned the menu both in main dining room and cafeteria. I had to really search to find appetizing items. In the cafeteria there was always a large section of east Indian food. I asked why and was told people want it. . I rarely saw anyone with those items. They need input ...

Celebrity continues to provide excellent service and amenities that other some cruise lines no longer have. The ship is easy to get around on and is well maintained. We had a balcony cabin but because it was a crossing and quite cool, we used it very little. The cabin was nice and well maintained. We had the best room steward we have ever had. He made sure that the cabin was clean and well ...

Don't book through Celebrity Cruises website - otherwise fine

I would rate the cruise as 4, except for the failure of the cruise-line to take responsibility for the online website error. In future, we will not book through Celebrity's website. We booked the cruise online and pre-paid gratituities online, but ended up paying an additional $450 for for the cruise, due to an issue with the Celebrity website. The registration information for one of us was ...

Veey disappointing compared to past Celebrity experiences

The crew on this ship lacks the friendliness and warmth we found on the Siloutte and Reflection. We are really disappointed with this transatlantic compared to others. Crew is detached not attentive to detail. Even Luminae staff lacks professionalism and attention to detail. Hope this is not a trend for Celebrity. Michael’s Club bartenders have no idea of what they are doing. Tables remain ...

This was a trans Atlantic and it made stops in Ponta Delgado, Waterford, Cork, and Dublin, Ireland. We initially signed up for the following cruise to Ireland, Iceland and Shetlland Islands then decided to give this a try, our first trans Atlantic. It was a great decision. We had a very smooth crossing, way smoother than the follow on cruise. The guest entertainers were outstanding, especially ...
