I love new ships. I booked Edge about a year ago when all the hype was going on. I almost cancelled because of the negative reviews on cruise critic. I’m so glad I decided to see for myself what all the hubbub was all about. Edge is BEAUTIFUL and it may have actually been our nicest cruise yet.
We followed our usual routine of leaving from NY the day before and taking a taxi from FLL to the ...
We are two couples, aged 47 to 55, and have cruised with our families on Disney, Royal Caribbean and Carnival many times. This was our first time without kids and we wanted something classier, more elegant, far fewer kids and much better food than what we have experienced on other lines. We feel we received exactly what we were looking for on the Edge.
The Ship: Gorgeous, trendy, airy, ...
We are a couple in our mid fifties and this was our 16th cruise, first on Celebrity and we absolutely loved it!
Embarkation in Terminal 25 was so efficient; I had checked in at home and we only had to have our picture taken upon arrival. We were allowed on the ship at approx. 11:30 and I think we were one of the first ones on besides a group of visitors. We put our things in our Aqua Class ...
As a first-time cruiser (late 20s), the Edge was a wonderful introduction to the cruising world! I read a TON of reviews before going on my trip, and I disagree with most of them.
As others have said, the embarkation was a breeze. We showed up several hours earlier than our scheduled time and were on the ship in no time -- it took maybe 10 minutes to get from our shuttle bus to the embarkation ...
We were excited to book this cruise because it was a new ship. Our cabin 7315, Sunset Veranda, was very nice. The veranda was very large but there were only 2 regular chairs and a tiny table out there. They need to add a chaise lounge and a larger table, to enable having breakfast on the veranda. The rooms are decorated well, with plenty of storage. Our room had a small sofa, but it was very ...
This ship might be right for you but not even close for us. Well, where do I start? The positives are a short list. So let’s start there. The ship is beautiful, IF you like that type of ambiance. Glass, glass, glass not 100% clean, lots of steel and marble looking flooring. The crew is the most wonderful crew I have ever been with. 70 cruises and they were the nicest and most helpful they could ...
We booked this cruise based upon the ship , not the itenary We are experienced cruisers and wanted to try the Edge. From the ease of embarkation, to the design of the ship, to the shows, it was excellent. We booked a 4 night Specialty Dining package. Very disappointed that you couldn’t book in advance. Prime time dining was taken. We were part of a Group of 12. We dined twice in Fine Cuts and ...
We've been cruising since the late 1990's. I just turned 60. We have just over 50 cruises. Check in was a breeze and so was disembarkation. We had a separate entrance for suite guess. We got bottled water in metal containers and sat down until someone came to us to check us in. Love the new containers and paper straw. While the cruise ship is beautiful. Not much room at the Sunset Bar. We did go ...
This was our first cruise on the Edge, third on Celebrity Cruise Lines and 28th overall cruises. Also we are senior citizens and were looking for something a little different. On the Edge we found it!
The ship itself is spectacular and a modern marvel. It is very advanced in every respect.
Boarding in Ft. Lauderdale was a snap and the terminal building for Celebrity was modern, clean and ...
We were looking forward to being on the new Celebrity Edge .
The embarkation was a breeze walked on and within 10 Minutes we were on board receiving our glass of sparkling wine.
Doing the photos on line and downloading the passes was to our advantage.
The decor of the ship is amazing as it the art work , although some of the designer seats are a bit uncomfortable and difficult to sit ...
