We booked this cruise almost two years ago and as the date of the cruise approached we were getting very concerned after reading the many negative reviews. However we were determined to keep an open mind and make our own decisions about the Edge. So glad we did.
We were booked into an Aqua class room and from the moment we arrived at the terminal we were impressed with the efficiency of ...
We were on another Celebrity Cruise in December 2018 and loved it.. we booked a Stateroom with Balcony. There was no Balcony.
They got us for a Photo Shoot, cost us $ 5 79.00 US. Payed for picture on the Ship $ 140 .which we never received. Finally after almost 4 Month, we got our Money back.
We would never go on a Celebrity Ship again. We also tell all our Friends to do the same.
It was ...
We chose this cruise for the ship experience, on the new Edge. The staff delivered! The ship is absolutely amazing, new, fresh, clean calming colors. Cabin with infinite balcony was amazing, private, yet let you feel close to the sea when open.
Food as always on celebrity was amazing. Nice layout to the buffet. Always tables available.
Lots of deck chairs. Plenty of quiet places ...
This was our 20th cruise and our 14th with Celebrity so we have sailed their other ships and wanted to try the Edge. We booked a concierge Infinite verandah. (cabin 9214). This cabin is on the starboard side aft of the Magic carpet. The view was great straight out however, looking forward your view was obstructed by the sides of the Magic Carpet rails/sky suite rooms. I was not impressed with the ...
After 25 RCL cruises we wanted to try something new and different, a change. The ship is beautiful. , artwork interesting. The cabins were very nice, had IV cabin, did not not like the concept for the reasons given many times on this board, too small, did not seem like a balcony, no way to block sun and have window down, going to be maintenance nightmare down the road.
Food was good, service ...
Cons: Overall, our room was clean but outdated. Spent nearly $850/person to sleep in a windowless room. WiFi was horribly expensive and slow (couldn’t even upload photos on instagram). Our TV was constantly flickering in and out.
We were hassled to buy drink packages. Once bought, we could hardly get any service. And also not many options on the lower priced drink package (almost $400 for the ...
Overall the cruise to the western Caribbean was very good. The whole getting on board zprocess was painless and having valet service on luggage going home was well worth the money. Stayed over the night before (JW Marriott) and the transfer to the ship was easy. We had booked our own shore excursions, which I would highly recommend on any cruise so no problems there. I am not a cruise ...
Chose this as were different ports of call from our last Carrabean cruise.
Ship is ready for a refit as parts were worn eg. Seats, shower and decor,
The crew we great, all very polite and helpful and would go out of their way to speak to you.
Enjoyed the cruise but one thing set it back for me,there were too many gay people on board and they took over.
The entertainment was great but ...
Relaxation. Cruised many times in the Caribbean and never bored with it weather is always good perfect at this time of year to let us escape winter cold and snow. Celebrity Solstice class ships offer the perfect mix of luxury and size and amenities to meet our needs.
Equinox goes into dry dock next month for a major refit. She'll be A brand new ship when she returns to service in June. It was ...
We sailed on another Celebrity ship in December and couldn't believe the marked difference in Infinity. Infinity is outdated and desperately needs a refresh. We ate in every restaurant and the steaks and tuna were always overcooked, despite ordering rare (except for Sushi on 5). On our prior trip, the specialty restaurants and servers were amazing and well worth the surcharge. We wasted so ...
