15 DAY TRANSATLANTIC

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Celebrity Silhouette

15 DAY TRANS-ATLANTIC This cruise was advertised as “Boston, Broadway and Bermuda” which caught my eye immediately. This year DH and I were celebrating our 50th Anniversary and we wanted to do something unique for us. Never having been to London, NYC, or Bermuda, it was an opportunity to check these places off of our bucket list. Family issues held us back from booking early. When we ...

We always enjoy TransAtlantic cruises. This was our 5th trip. We enjoy the many "At Sea" days, sitting in the Solarium ( due to weather ) and reading books, or talking with other guests in the Hot Tubs! First of all, kudos to Sue Denning, the wickedly wonderful Cruise Director! Very talented Brit, who made every night enjoyable with her wit and talent. Embarkation and debarkation were fine ( ...

So much history to explore!

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

This cruise offered a chance to see parts of New England and my home country of Canada my wife and I wanted to see. The transportation from the airport to the port was less than we would have liked. The van was not maintained very well, broken seatbelts, and the side door would not close properly. At the pier embarkation was very easy and quick. The ship was a little tired but that will all be ...

We booked this cruise on June 7, that date only inside cabins were available, we booked GTY with savings of $1,100, and were assigned 7052, we receive the promo full payment in 12 months without interest, at first time I don't liked because it's a connecting cabin, so I asked to be moved but the change was denied because the cabin I was asking in the same CAT was for 3 people, when final payment ...

We had sailed Celebrity several times before and they serve our demographic (retired couple) quite well. We wanted to cruise out of the Northeast so that we could avoid flying. The Summit is due for a total refurb in Feb 2019, and it does need it. The decor is a bit dated, the cabins need some rework and the cabin-locks were troublesome from beginning to end. With that said, a cruise ...

Great staff - not so great ship

Chose this ship for the itinirary which was very nice although unable to stop at Bar Harbor due to weather. We did have rough seas on several days 8 - 14 ft waves. We were concerned about being on Deck 2 but actually was an advantage. More stable. Able to walk up to Dining room on 5 & main common areas. Never an issue getting on/off ship in ports from Deck 1,2 or 3. The entire staff was very ...

Autumn Leaves and Lobsters in Maine and the Maritimes

Autumn Leaves and Lobsters in Maine and the Maritimes Our two week cruise On Celebrity Summit to New England and Canada was very much akin to a curates’ egg. Many good aspects and experiences with the occasional not so good ones, but unlike our previous Celebrity cruise earlier this year to SE Asia which was sub-par in virtually every respect, the good stuff significantly outweighed the ...

New England/Canada, Simply the Best

Review for a Canada & New England Cruise on Celebrity Summit

We chose this cruise for the locations. It takes the full 14 days of cruising to see NE/Canada. Celebrity offered this round trip from Cape Liberty. This is so much easier than the 10 day I had done before where it was NYC to Quebec City and then you have to find your own way back home. Let's start with the pre-cruise experience: We decided to stay at the Hilton Newark Penn Station for ease ...
