We booked this cruise to use up a pre-pandemic credit from 2019. (Multiple intervening attempts failed.) We are grateful to Celebrity for the credit, for the extensions they granted to those of us with credits, and for getting back to sailing.
We went to Reykjavik six days early. There is plenty to do in Iceland and a mere port stop or a day or day is insufficient. Everyone we met was ...
we choose this cruise because of our dear friends of 35 years. They had reserved this cruise several years ago and my DW and I thought we would rejoin our adventures with them. It was difficult to book a cabin 9 months out. Little did we know this itinerary was the inaugural cruise for Celebrity's to visit Greenland. Our last Inaugural cruise was the Infinity cruise to Antarctica in 2010! ...
I chose the cruise because I'd never sailed to Charleston, SC and Newport, RI before, and when I booked it, there was still enough doubt about COVID that I wanted a cruise that stayed primarily within US ports. I also always wanted to sail on Celebrity, and wanted a relaxed, old-fashioned cruise.
On the downside, there was a lot of confusion before the cruise, primarily because Bermuda imposed ...
First the bad: to go to Bermuda we needed a travel authorization. Bermuda had the wrong date for our cruise and I had to call into Celebrity and get it corrected. Next, Bermuda was supposed to be our third port but apparently no one at Celebrity read that if Bermuda isn't your first port, you need to be re-tested for COVID. So I personally had to inform them and they changed the order of the ports ...
For our first cruise post-Covid, my wife Marie and I chose to try out Celebrity on a reasonably simple itinerary to Bermuda and Charleston, SC. It was also our first attempt at a cruise after Marie had back surgery, which unfortunately has left her with some significant mobility issues; she now needs to use a 3-wheel scooter to get around on ship or on shore -- being able to walk only a few ...
Reflection is a great ship. We love S-Class Celebrity ships and this is one of the best. Has the full Sky Lounge instead of part of it cut out for suites. Great commons areas.
two issues: seating is starting to get a bit worn and you sit very low in many of the chairs at a table. Not enough places for readers and card players. Need more open places so we aren’t taking up places for ...
Booked this cruise on a whim to get up over to Florida for an extended vacation. Overall the cruise was great seeing New York, Boston, Bermuda, Nassau and Fort Lauderdale. Firstly embarkation was really slow especially security. Once on the ship having already sailed on a Solstice class ship it was all very familiar. Our stateroom (concierge) was as expected, clean tidy and nicely appointed. ...
Silhouette is wonderful looks stunning and is very friendly.
I had joined the cruise critic roll call before this sailing and had some great fun for about a month beforehand signing up for group activities including a joke the turned into the most amazing chocolate swap.
Embarkation was brilliant my dad uses a walking stick and we were shown to the assistance line no wait and we were on the ...
This was our sixth cruise with Celebrity but the first time on a Millennium class of ship. All our previous five cruises have been on the Solstice class.
For embarkation the drive into Bayonne, NJ is not exactly the most inviting of cruise terminal arrivals. We also had issues coming from our Manhattan hotel and not realising the majority of NYC yellow cabs would not cross the Hudson to go to ...
Just back from a 14 day cruise. I have sailed with Celebrity before so I knew what to expect. Stateroom attendant great. Blu restaurant service outstanding. Tuscany restaurant very good n- food and service. Skip Sushi on 5. Eat at Qsine at least once for experience. Buffet very good all-around. Entertainment mostly home runs; a couple of grand slams. Great cruise director. Most accessible ...
