I chose the Celebrity Eclipse because I wanted to do its 3 back-to-back South America cruises. So it was the itinerary that was the draw.
The ship is beautiful and comfortable.I cannot imagine how its upcoming renovation could make ir any nicer.
The crew, from Captain Leo (probably the most visible captain in my cruising experience) to every person working onboard, was excellent....and ...
The Eclipse Antarctica cruise was great - primarily because of MickeyLive! He engaged everyone in the scenery, terrific talks, great narration and interaction for 14 days! The cruise would have been boring without him. ALL of his talks were standing room only! The ship was fine, Captain Leo was also very engaging and friendly.
Celebrity shore excursions are ridiculously over-priced! Do ...
Very disappointing treatment of someone sustaining a serious injury on the ship due to their negligence. Poor medical treatment. Poor follow up from Guest relations until I conveyed my concerns to them that I felt dismissed. My holiday was ruined for myself and my partner and ship's response was more 'out of sight, out of mind'.
The ship is beautiful, restaurants are good. The ship certainly ...
This was our 21st cruise and 5th on Celebrity but first time back on the line in 2 years and first time on a solstice ship in 5 years. Shortly before this cruise we had done several others including our first sailings on Crystal and Seabourn. We have travelled South America and Brazil extensively on land and this was a last minute booking just to enjoy another cruise and reacquaint ourselves with ...
We chose the cruise for the Antarctica cruise.
It was definitely well worth it.
The dining room staff was excellent.
The ice cream was excellent.
The cruise director Giuseppe was fantastic. Where does he find the energy?
Captain Leo was superb. "Life is beautiful !"
So, the shops said the cruise lines did not receive their shipment of 'Antarctica' items in time. Since ...
We chose Celebrity Eclipse for one, the itinerary and two we have sailed with them on a few occasions previous. The itinerary was amazing and one we will not forget, feeling very privalidged to be visiting Antarctica. We have sailed on Eclipse before and love the ship, good main dining room, ocean view cafe if you want to be more casual and speciality restaurants you can pay an extra cover charge ...
Choose this cruise specifically to see Antarctica and wildlife. We were not disappointed! Weather was great. Paradise Bay is an amazing place. Started out a little hazy but by noon sun was out and Penguins, Whales and seals galore. Great time in the Falklands at Volunteer Point. Chance to get up close to King Penguins, Gentoo and Magallenic. Celebrity speciality restaurants were great. Buffet was ...
We picked this cruise for the itinerary, I've know people who took expedition ships to Antarctica, but that's just out of our budget range. This cruise offered the chance to get really close to Antarctica without spending extra thousands to set foot on the place.
It was unforgettable!
The weather could not have been better for viewing and photography.
Add in icebergs, whales sea lions, ...
The Eclipse is a very happy ship and it shows. From the lovely staff who are proud of their ship who cannot do enough to help you to the very young Captain Leo whose 10.45 announcements we looked forward to. He is always ended with 'Life is Beautiful' and it certainly is onboard The Eclipse. Spotlessly clean especially our cabin which our steward Alistair looked after immaculately. ...
As most, we booked this cruise for the opportunity to see the Antarctic. With that comes a lot of sea days and few port days which would normally not be our choice. We've cruised with Celebrity before and also with Oceania, Princess and Royal Caribbean.
The Buenos Aires embarkment could have been better. Outside the port, there were so many taxis that our taxi driver dropped us off about a ...
