My sister and her husband suggested it. So I booked an extra cabin for my son and his girlfriend. The service people at dinner were excellent They were Leeford and Elvis. We chose this itinerary for our summer family cruise for four. We knew that Celebrity wouldn’t be the best choice for having lots of extra kids activities onboard, however, everyone including the kids (7 & 11) wanted to go to do this unique itinerary. We choose this cruise for the ports but were disappointed by the overall experience. Check in was delayed a bit because while I did the on line check in ahead of time I didn't try to print my paperwork until the day or two before and the site had shut down. I have traveled on RCCL to the Diamond level and wanted to try Celebrity. As I travel by myself they charge 2 x the cabin rate while RCCL charges 1.5.I love both cruise lines and sailed on Summit to go to Bermuda for 3 days. also went to Bar Harbor, Boston and Newport.

We prefer Celebrity for its catering to adults. The Itinerary was appealing and the ports did not disappoint. The Summit is similar to the Millenium and we enjoyed the size and decor of the Millenium. As anticipated, the Summit is very similar. It is an older ship but immaculate and well maintained.

MDR food selection terrible, especially for Jewish travelers, who should not eat seafood or pork products. And we don't notify ahead for a special menu, since when you mention "Jewish" or "Kosher" at the table, there are often folks who shun you, and not a few of them, especially the Israel-haters. Mostly verything was A1....excellent. No big complaints at all except noisy cabin (see below) and
inadequate slow tendering at New Port..not enough boats used. People were enraged as they were missing pre booked private excursions. Excuses were made about speed restrictions in the harbour as if this was something new ! More imagination required for excuses.by request.
